Le ragazze del Fatt'ammano hanno "bissato" la piacevolissima impressione avuta qualche anno fa, una scelta di qualità ed un menù che forse potrebbe disorientare chi va in caccia dei piatti tradizionali amiatini, ma che non tradisce, anzi supera le aspettative di chi, come noi, dall'Amiata viene, ne conosce i sapori e, nella propria cucina, cerca di "trasmetterli" ad amici e ospiti. Assolutamente consigliata la prenotazione soprattutto nel periodo autunnale ed invernale, il locale, per quanto accogliente, non è grandissimo e, tutto sommato, alla fine questo diventa un vantaggio in termini di comfort acustico: anche a sala piena si riesce a conversare agevolmente a bassa voce. BRAVE !

New life to traditional ingredients. The girls at Fatt'ammano have "repeated" the very pleasant impression they had a few years ago, with a choice of quality and a menu that could perhaps disorientate those looking for traditional Amiata dishes, but which does not betray, but rather exceeds the expectations of those who, like us, come from Amiata, know the flavors and, in their own cuisine, try to "pass them on" to friends and guests. Reservations are absolutely recommended, especially in the autumn and winter periods, the venue, although welcoming, is not very large and, all things considered, in the end this becomes an advantage in terms of acoustic comfort: even in a full room you can easily converse in a low voice. BRAVE!

Fatt'ammano was a pleasant discovery, the dishes are extremely refined and made with seasonal products. The staff were very kind and professional. Absolutely recommended. Book, especially on weekends, because the place is small and you risk not finding a seat

La Poventa

30/04/2025: A journey into the authentic flavors of the Maremma After a walk on the walls of Magliano in Toscana, we stopped at Osteria La Poventa with the desire to taste good grilled meat, a local wine and the refined simplicity of Tuscan cuisine. Federico, the innkeeper, guided us with competence and passion in the choice: a tender and tasty cut of Podolian veal, cooked to perfection and accompanied by vegetables from the garden. A dish that alone is worth the trip. All combined with the red “Le Sughere di Frassinello” from the Rocca di Frassinello winery: intense, elegant, perfect. The next day we returned to discover the rest of the menu, and this time too we were enthusiastic. Starters of local Cinta Senese ham and pâté with pears, accompanied by excellent vinsanto, followed by pici with roe deer and maltagliati with wild boar: authentic, balanced and full of character dishes. The choice of Ansonica from Fattoria di Magliano, proposed by Federico, was also excellent. At Poventa you can find the excellence of the Maremma area, cooked with skill and respect for tradition. Finally, the desserts are a pleasant surprise: original reinterpretations of peasant cuisine that end the meal with elegance. In summary, La Poventa is not just a tavern: it is a journey into the true flavors of the Maremma, guided by the careful hand of those who deeply love their territory. 22/04/2025: Cozy place, friendly staff. It's a shame about the grilled fillets which at the other tables were served in the classic tall and whole version, while our two thin ones were served in the cut steak version.
