Extra Bacco In Trieste

29/12/2024: Beautiful venue inside a marina. On Saturday lunch we were welcomed with warmth and elegance by the owner. Tables well spaced and well set. The menu is delicious and original. The chef certainly has great imagination and creativity. Before the ordered dishes they brought us salted butter accompanied by an excellent hot focaccia and an entrée with fried sage and anchovies from the Cantabrian Sea. Much appreciated and delicious cuddle. We order an appetizer to share of fried sardines with horseradish mayonnaise. Very crispy fry! First, a homemade pappardella with cod and pecorino ragù and a seafood carbonara (chitarrina with squid ink, with carbonara sauce, cuttlefish, smoked swordfish, shallot chips). Beautiful, good and plentiful dishes. 3 glasses of Friulian wines. A bottle of water and a coffee. The coffee wasn't just ordinary coffee either: it was served with a nibble of chocolate mousse. A delicious lunch. A place to mark among your favourites. It's a shame that it isn't comfortable in our home but when we return to the Trieste Muggia area we will remember it! The very correct bill: 76 euros. Applause! Keep it up!

28/12/2024: An amazing gem in the middle of San Rocco marina. The restaurant, as we learned, changed owners in October 2024, so don't be put off by the previous reviews - it's an amazing gem in the middle of San Rocco marina. We were very pleasantly surprised by the lovely ambiance and interior, friendly and helpful staff and especially by the amazing food we enjoyed. We tried several dishes: scampi crudi and amazingly tender octopus for starters, followed by beef tagliatta and pasta carbonara - both made to perfection. Highly, highly recommended!
