We had a great time today! The wine selection (2 rosé, 2 red) was excellent, and the waiter provided excellent presentations, including information about the wines, the growing regions, and the grape varieties used. The paninis were fresh and well-filled.

Fantastic food with great wines! We shared several dishes and everything we got was great: from the focaccia with panchette and burrata, to the bruschettas and orange salad with anchovies. You might just walk past it, but don't! Highly recommended!

The owner is passionate about wine. And a super nice person. The selection is outstanding - they sell very good wine.. The pricing is very fair. And the atmosphere is great. I only regret that we are leaving Sicily today so we can’t go back!

If you want the perfect Sicilian wine tasting experience in Ortigia, this is it. My partner and I came here for lunch (absolutely scrumptious bruschetta, smoked salmon salad, and the best burrata I have ever had) and paired it with five small wine tastings. The owner was knowledgeable and kind - and clearly cared so much about his wine. We went back and bought four bottles to carry home to the US - some of the best wine I have had, for only 20-30 euros! An absolute must.

Perfect place to try local Sicilian wines in a charming atmosphere and with excellent service. Also the owner explained everything about wines which we were interested in, he is very knowledgeable.

Un lugar tan relajante para disfrutar de hermosos vinos y probar algunos quesos y carnes locales - el propietario es tan apasionado por sus vinos y es tan amable y acogedor - un lugar encantador y entre nuestros favoritos para el vino y platos pequeños. Comimos una vez, pero fuimos tres veces por bebidas y mordiscos, ya que era un lugar encantador.

Nous avons adoré ce bar à vin à la classe décontractée Nous avons été conseillés par le patron passionné d'œnologie pour une découverte de vins siciliens d'exception accompagnés d'une petite restauration raffinée à base de produits locaux. Nous recommandons vivement cet établissement.

11/05/2025: I entered the restaurant “A maidda” by chance because I didn’t know it had reopened and I discovered that you can have the pleasure of eating there only on weekends. The place is suggestive and very romantic! I had the orecchiette scented with fennel… Amazing dish… Impeccable cooking and delicate and tasty fennel cream. The chef who is also the owner of the restaurant is very knowledgeable as well as very kind and friendly and the staff is very kind and very friendly He explained to us that the menu varies according to seasonal products. I also learned that the place offers experiences and culinary journeys of a certain depth. I promised myself to return more often!
26/04/2025: We had dinner here on a Saturday night and had a very good meal. Well-prepared traditional local foods, excellent flavors and very inviting combinations. The appetizer is highly recommended. Very friendly staff, particular place with some tables inside a small cave. Absolutely recommended!
