A restaurant with an impressive selection of wine. The food was good - above average. I had the poached egg with porcini and cheese foam which I adored. The egg was slightly under-done. The Russian salad with crab was good, if a little bit too smothered in mayonnaise, and the monk fish was a little overcooked.

Although it was a restaurant, if you didn't make a reservation you had to share a table at the entrance, so it felt more like a wine bar. The slightly conspicuous corner restaurant seemed to have been awarded a Michelin star. The risotto I ordered was the best I'd ever had, with the porcini, and of course the al dente was absolutely amazing. It was the best meal of the day. I scanned the QR code for wine and started with my favorite Piedmontese Nebbiolo, but it was also reasonably priced and fresh. Since I was there, I also ordered a Veneto Merlot. Veneto wines are light and perfect for seafood, and although it's not seafood, the veal tartare, with its anchovy mayonnaise, was a perfect accompaniment to the wine. The bread was warm and came with small walnuts. The water was a little too much for my liking, but it was just right since I hadn't been drinking much.

Tucked away from Venice’s tourist flow, Estro Vino e Cucina delivers a lunch experience that feels like it belongs in the Michelin conversation. The dining room strikes a balance between modern and rustic: sleek lines, warm wood, and a subdued hum that lets the food and wine take center stage.
We opted for the tasting menu, which opened with an amuse that was elegantly plated. A standout pasta course featured handmade noodles with local seafood, the sauce: briny, slightly sweet, with just enough depth to coat without overwhelming. The pasta was al dente perfection, with a silkiness that carried the flavors of the sea.
Vegetables were treated with equal reverence: a layered dish of seasonal produce showcased acidity and crunch. Even the simplest elements felt intentional, from the interplay of oils and herbs to the way acidity lifted each bite.
The wine program is serious here, with a curated list of natural wines. The staff guided us toward pairings that were spot-on, crisp whites highlighting seafood salinity, mineral-driven pours elevating the vegetal notes. The service staff was knowledgeable.
Lunch at Estro was memorable, refined, and deeply satisfying. Highly recommended.

Phenomenal spot for dinner. Each plate is not only beautifully prepared but has a great taste to it. The wine pairings really accentuates each dish’s flavors and kudos to the staff for finding some good bottles to connect the food with.
This dinner and the ambience inside is a great date night, dinner while visiting Venice as tourists or anything else in between. All will love it.

This was the best meal we had in Venice by a long shot. The food is a modern take on Venetian cuisine and not the typical tourist fare that’s on offer at many other places. Staff were excellent, casual but attentive and friendly. Price was reasonable also.

A great small restaurant, with an excellent menu of local dishes. All served with a modern flair, that elevates this restaurant to the next level. An amazing selection of wines (by the bottle or by the glass) accompanies every course, often recommended by the superb waiting staff. Very highly recommended!

Tasting my menu and wine pairing very good for the price. Unique wines well paired. Shrimp was cooked perfectly and the risotto was perfect. Jasmine was outstanding but was the only one serving. Adding another person would be an adjustment that would be well worth it as timing would be improved.
