I've finally unlocked a place I've wanted to go to for a THOUSAND years, and it's exactly as described: excellent food (although, being used to the same recipes cooked in Umbria, I expected more "exciting" flavors), an interesting selection of wines from Lazio and Rome, a very friendly owner, and a lovely little place in the heart of Formigine. Eating Roman cuisine in Modena and the surrounding area with this quality and these ingredients is, I think, VERY difficult. Congratulations!

Small, cozy atmosphere. Roman osteria style. One of the waitresses was friendlier than her colleague. The owner was also very nice (I assume he was the owner). Unfortunately, we happened to be there on an evening when there were also diners outside, so the door was often open for food delivery (it goes without saying that we ate, annoyed by the draft). And the table next to us had quite noisy women, so we struggled to chat among ourselves. What a shame.

A family dinner for three couples was a great success! The place is a little small but cozy; reservations are recommended! Very friendly and professional customer service! Excellent, high-quality food, generously portioned! The final bill was a bit pricey, but it was still well-proportioned for the quality and service provided! Parking is available near the level crossing.

I was at this location on Tuesday evening with my husband... a small place with just a few tables, the outdoor seating is along the sidewalk where pedestrians pass (rightly so) and cars along the street. As for the food, it's quite tasty, crispy, and typically Roman. THE ONLY LITTLE FLAWS IS THE ROMAN TRIPPE WITH MINT AND PECORINO for €16 (in a "small cup," where I'll post the photo and tell the waitress too) which can't compare to my portion of STRACCETTI WITH Arugula, Cherry Tomatoes, and PECORINO for €16. I recommend the BRUSCHETTE WITH BACON AND CHICORY and the CARBONARA paired with two glasses of MESCITA wine, both more than pleasant.

26/04/2025: Location e condimenti ok, mi sono piaciuti molto. La pizza che abbiamo mangiato però non era lievitata bene e, dopo appena mezz’ora, ha causato un’eccessiva sensazione di gonfiore. Inoltre, era anche bruciata.
06/02/2025: Felicissimo di aver scoperto questo ristorante proprio in centro a Sassuolo. Dopo una giornata trascorsa allo stadio a vedere il Sassuolo sentivo il desiderio di mangiare bene, in una bella location con un bel servizio e soprattutto avevo voglia di mangiare tipico emiliano. Ho chiesto un pò in giro e al secondo che mi ha detto La Taverna di Via Pia ho chiamato e ho prenotato. Location carinissima, personale in numero adeguato e molto professionale, in particolare la ragazza che mi ha consigliato il buonissimo lambrusco, bevuto assieme ad un ottimo gnocco fritto friabile e per niente unto, un affettato di qualità con tanto di culatello squisito e per finire un buon gelato ai frutti di bosco. Ogni volta che tornerò a vedere il Sassuolo, chiamerò prima per prenotare....

Ristorante Zhao Yang

23/10/2025: They are very kind and clean beyond expectations. The food is very good, the kitchen is open, and the staff is fast and always courteous! Excellent restaurant.
25/08/2025: Excellent food and a wide selection. Friendly and fast staff. Average prices. The only small drawback is that in the summer I suffer from the heat, but maybe that's just my problem. In my opinion, it's among the top 3 Asian Fusion restaurants in Modena.
