Enoteca Pinchiorri is one of the great restaurants of Italy and one of the best wine cellars on earth — 200,000 bottles in vaulted cellars beneath a 15th-century palazzo in the heart of Florence. Three Michelin stars for decades, and every one of them earned. The menu changes seasonally and celebrates the ingredients of Tuscany with the precision and creativity of a kitchen that has been at the top of Italian fine dining for over forty years. Annie Féolde's cooking philosophy is fundamentally about respect — for the ingredient, for the tradition, for the guest. The pasta courses are extraordinary. The secondi are impeccable. But what makes Pinchiorri genuinely unique is the wine pairing. The sommelier team has a cellar that contains practically every great Italian vintage of the last fifty years alongside the great French and international classics. A meal here with full pairing is one of the peak food and wine experiences available anywhere in the world. I have been several times and it has never been anything less than extraordinary.

Stunning food! We just had the most exquisite meal, starring the asparagus and caviar starter. This dish blew us away! The restaurant was pricier than we expected (our fault for not researching) but worth it! The staff was friendly and accommodating. The dining room is small and quiet thus we wished we could have eaten in the garden in a more relaxed natural setting, but weather did not allow. Our meal was served beautifully and filled with delightful surprises! Highly recommend!

I went in with very high expectations. Being a 3-star establishment, I expected something exciting. I ate well, but the experience was mediocre compared to what I would have expected at this level of excellence. I would also have expected canapés and an amuse-bouche instead of a sad cracker and champagne. I'm not disappointed, but I'm disappointed.

Dinner at Enoteca Pinchiorri was extraordinary from start to finish — not just for the food, but for the thoughtfulness and precision behind every detail. The tasting menu was impeccably composed: creative without being theatrical, technically flawless, and deeply confident. Each course felt purposeful, balanced, and calm — nothing rushed, nothing excessive. This is cooking at the level where restraint and clarity matter more than spectacle. One of the most memorable moments of the night came from the wine and spirits program. A Cadenhead Scotch was poured as a happy accident, and rather than brushing past it, the staff handled the moment with grace, generosity, and genuine enthusiasm. What could have been a simple correction turned into one of the highlights of the evening — a perfect example of hospitality done right. Service throughout was warm, polished, and intuitive. The team struck that rare balance of being deeply knowledgeable while remaining approachable and human. From the first amuse-bouche to the final petit fours, the experience felt complete and considered. This is not just fine dining — it’s a lesson in mastery. If you’re looking to understand what separates one star from three, Enoteca Pinchiorri makes the answer very clear.

A very very polished and excellent service, and pleasant atmosphere, but the food is nowhere near 3 Michelin stars (from a lot of comparative experience): professional, but lacking any interesting concept or particular inspiration. Hence the whole experience feels very overpriced.

My girlfriend and I went for dinner. The place was nice, and the staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. The food was good but unexciting. The wine list was excellent, as was the water list. I have a few things to say. I don't know why it has 3 Michelin stars. It's the first Michelin-starred restaurant I've been to where we weren't served an amuse-bouche, which, for a 3 Michelin-starred restaurant and the price, seems like the least I could do, given that they now offer it even in non-starred establishments. The various leavened and baked goods were served sliced during dinner (very limited and mediocre selection, two slices of bread and one of schiacciata). Another note: it's the first Michelin-starred restaurant where I wasn't served any butter or oil, which are usually served with baked goods. Plus, the only dish worthy of a 3-star rating: tuna with roast chicken foam. The pigeon was also very good, but the boneless leg was difficult to eat. We added the truffle option to the menu, which is €100 more per person (and it's only on two dishes). We weren't shown the truffle, and they didn't even grate it in front of us. My girlfriend found an eyelash inside the ravioli, and after pointing it out to the waiter, he thought it best to quip, "Isn't that yours?" and left without apologizing. The only employee who apologized was the young woman, who was very kind and knowledgeable throughout the dinner. The Piccola pasticceria only offers good chocolates, but I expect more from a 3-star establishment. Having said that, they charge for a 3-star establishment, as it should be, but the experience and the food are worth maybe just one. Too bad.

If you want to experience the delicious menu, I recommend it. (It's fun to eat and think while enjoying the three-hour course.) Personally, I found the ossobuco a bit salty. The service was friendly and pleasant.

This is my first three-Michelin-star experience. The service and ambiance absolutely feel three-star — polished, attentive, and effortless. But honestly, the food didn’t live up to the hype for me. Some dishes were too acidic, others too salty, and across the whole tasting menu, only one or two courses really stood out. Considering the price, it just didn’t feel worth it.

Three stars is about right. It's absolutely not worth it. Expensive.

Ristorante Casalta

24/11/2025: I celebrated my 30th birthday here. Everything was perfect! The dishes were carefully prepared and delicious. The service was perfect. Giulia was very nice and gave great advice, even on the menu. I'll definitely be back and I recommend it 100%!! Elisa
20/11/2025: A cozy and welcoming place, with friendly staff and excellent food. I had lunch with a friend and we ordered the same appetizer, consisting of lightly toasted crostini topped with porcini mushrooms and provola cheese; a true delight. For my first course, I enjoyed a delicate and flavorful purple cabbage risotto. My friend ordered pappardelle with wild boar sauce, which she also found to be perfect. The portions are generous and very satisfying.
