Déçus par une cuisine peu inventive. Habitués des trois macarons Michelin, nous en sommes très loin ici. Un bon commencement pourtant avec un homard savoureux et des asperges au caviar très originales. La suite est restée moyenne. Tout est bien préparé et les produits de base très bien choisis et reconnaissables dans les recettes, mais tout cela sans génie. Une grosse déception pour nous. Personnel charmant qui fait l'effort de parler français. Une mauvaise surprise à l'entrée du restaurant où une tenue correcte est exigée, ce qui est la moindre des choses. Mon mari en chemisette de qualité s'est vu contraint d'enfiler son pull alors qu'un client est entré en veste de Jean. Attention à ne pas devenir les talibans du dress code, ce serait vite ridicule. Ne parlons pas du rapport qualité prix, nous avons l'habitude des établissements triplement étoilés, et il est normal de payer cher une prestation exceptionnelle, mais là nous sommes très loin d'un trois étoiles français. Belle carte des vins, c'est presque un livre. Là encore tout est trop cher. Une expérience décevante pour ce restaurant florentin.

As someone who has had the privilege of dining in some of the world’s most celebrated culinary institutions, from Tokyo to Lima. I approached Enoteca Pinchiorri with high expectations. After all, a three-Michelin-starred legacy restaurant nestled in Florence commands a certain level of storytelling, innovation, and emotional resonance.
There is no doubt: the service was flawless in precision, down to the smallest gesture. But therein lies part of the conflict, it felt mechanical, rehearsed, and somewhat devoid of warmth or genuine connection. The menu, while technically sophisticated and beautifully presented, lacked a narrative. There was no thread pulling me through a journey, no spark that made me pause in wonder.
I kept waiting for that moment, the unexpected element that delights, the clever twist that turns a dish into memory. It came briefly, with a green lasagna accented by lemon mustard, an imaginative and bold pairing that awakened the senses. Unfortunately, that lift arrived too late in the meal to carry the experience.
What left a bitter aftertaste, however, was observing the chef greet only a specific table, locals, perhaps regulars, while the rest of us were overlooked. Having dined at Central in Lima, currently ranked the best restaurant in the world, where the chef personally greeted every guest regardless of background, I couldn’t help but notice the contrast. True hospitality is inclusive.
At €380 per person, I expected more than just flawless execution. I longed for emotion, for a story, for a moment that lingered long after the meal ended. Instead, I left with admiration for the craft, but without the memory of wonder.

La sala è meno suggestiva di quanto si potrebbe immaginare guardando dall’esterno il palazzo seicentesco in cui il ristorante si trova; il sevizio è formale e un po’ lento, ma alla fine assai più cordiale di quanto si potrebbe inizialmente pensare, soprattutto grazie alla grande simpatia dello chef Monco lieto di conoscere i commensali che vogliono visitare la cucina; la carta dei vini è straordinaria ma presenta notevolissimi rincari.
Il cibo è tutto buonissimo, preparato con maestria e precisione: eccezionali per freschezza ed eleganza gli antipasti, sia il benvenuto con un particolare pane al pomodoro e una deliziosa crema di piselli sia gli asparagi con caviale sia l’astice preso da mia moglie (davvero strepitoso per cottura e per eleganza); molto buoni i primi, in particolare la lasagna con gallina e cozze presa da mio padre; superbo il maialino cotto nel suo brodo e poi passato allo spiedo con cipolla di Tropea e senape di carota (frutto di un lavoro quindicinale svolto insieme all’allevatore perfino sull’alimentazione degli animali); saporito il carrello dei formaggi con la chicca di una fonduta con gelato al tartufo; molto buoni i dolci, sia il pre-dessert con un latte di rafano lievemente piccante, sia il golosa soufflé alla vaniglia sia il tiramisù; deludenti solo i cioccolatini.

At Enoteca Pinchiorri everything speaks of passion, elegance and research. The cellar is a true temple of wine, a selection that excites just by looking at it, with labels that tell stories of territories and expert hands.
The service is impeccable, attentive but never intrusive, capable of making you feel pampered at every moment.
The menu is a perfect journey, in which each dish is a balance of technique, creativity and respect for the raw material.
More than a dinner, it was an unforgettable sensory experience, which deeply impressed me. I can't wait to return

If I had to follow the explanation of the Michelin stars for the restaurant in question I would give one: interesting, maybe two: worth a detour.
The tasting menu was certainly interesting and well executed, although none of the courses made me think "wow".
On the service, from my experience, very far from the standards of a three-star restaurant.
- Pairing of three wines worth €325 (I'm not discussing the price but I'm mentioning it for the sake of correct information) without any type of explanation, simply listing the name and the vintage, without letting us know why it was chosen nor for which courses each was intended. Since some reds needed to rest and were served to us early, we used intuition to figure out which course to start them with.
- Some hesitation in the list of ingredients of the various dishes, let's say that there may be, but in theory it shouldn't.
-We got up twice to go and smoke, obviously notifying the dining room staff; our handkerchiefs were taken away and both times they were not returned to us, I had to ask for new ones.
Before dessert I had left the handkerchief on the table instead of on my legs and it was rightly taken back but this time too I wasn't brought a new one, so much so that in the end I decided to share it with my partner since now only the desserts were missing.
-The crumbs that I had made with the bread of the first or perhaps second course were left on the table until dessert, despite the fact that at each course the cutlery was removed and the new ones were placed practically next to the crumbs.
-Curiously, upon returning to the table after smoking, the chair was kindly moved twice in a row to make it easier for my partner (man) to sit and not for me (woman)
You pass the first time, maybe they thought it would be my partner's job to do it to me, even if given the type of restaurant I think it's up to the dining room staff, but I don't justify the second time.
-Paid welcome glass, I admit my mistake in not having read the price on the price tag when choosing between the three proposed bubbles, but frankly I was used to it differently. My mistake here, but I quote for correct information.
Although, given that it costs money, I wonder why the choice was between only three labels and not the entire list of glasses.
I'm not discussing the price itself which is perfectly in line with other three-starred hotels, but considering the various flaws found, you pay the bill with a bitter taste in your mouth.
Despite this we had a good experience in this restaurant and spent a pleasant evening.

Every dish is taken care of down to the smallest detail, the service is attentive and professional, and the cellar is among the best in the world. A unique place where every moment becomes memorable. Absolutely recommended.

My recent visit to Enoteca Pinchiorri to celebrate my wife's birthday was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, we were greeted with a warmth and professionalism that exceeded all expectations. The atmosphere of the restaurant is elegant and refined, perfect for a special occasion.
The staff was exceptional, attentive to every detail and always ready to satisfy our every need. A special thank you goes to Duccio, whose competence and kindness made our evening even more special.
The dishes were an explosion of flavours, prepared with the highest quality ingredients and impeccably presented. Each course was a sensorial journey, an experience that delighted our palate and left an indelible memory.
Enoteca Pinchiorri is without a doubt one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. If you are looking for a special place to celebrate an important occasion, I can only highly recommend it. Special thanks to all the staff for making my wife's birthday a memorable event.
