we happened upon this restaurant by chance on the night of San Lorenzo and were immediately attracted by the prices and quality of the dishes displayed on the board outside the restaurant.
Then we were welcomed by an extremely friendly, kind and helpful staff who also showed us the dishes off the menu and recommended their catch of the day, as they work only and exclusively on fresh (I would add that we have never tasted oysters so good).
At the end of the meal we were also offered the opportunity to have a bitter and a coffee.
Definitely a place we will return to.

We took the tasting menu and they immediately took us on a unique journey of flavours. Between very high quality wines and tasty local dishes we were very happy to eat here at Rubino. The owner Silvia, a woman who conveys her passion for her work and dedication in the dishes she creates.
Impeccable service, courteous and attentive to every detail. Highly recommended for an evening discovering new flavors of Salento.

è il terzo anno che torniamo al Rubino, dove cortesia e professionalità sono di casa, il posto giusto dove assaporare la cucina pugliese, anche per un vegetariano! ottimi i tortelli alla parmigiana, il tutto accompagnato da un eccellente vino Rosè! una cosa è certa, se sei a Gallipoli un salto in questo locale è d’obbligo! Complimenti a presto.

Piccolo locale, ma grande attenzione al cibo, personale molto gentile, congliato a chi cerca una cucina di sapori veri ee tradizioni salentine, ma sopratutto di assaporare anche degli ottimi vini. Complimenti, res non verba.

We had lunch today 16.09.24. Small but welcoming place just how we like it. We consumed the tasting menu which we appreciated for its authenticity: delicious dishes, excellent raw materials and prepared to perfection. Excellent service, trained and friendly staff. The owner was welcoming and very empathetic. We will perhaps return with friends for an outdoor aperitif. Thanks for the experience.
