Enoteca Della Scimmia In Ferrara

I was there a few years ago and I have good memories of it so I decided to review it. I remember A very private and intimate place with a rustic identity. It was born mainly as a wine shop, an excellent wine shop which is accompanied by an equally excellent cuisine which however does not have a real menu as the dishes are updated on the blackboard based on availability and seasonality, therefore a symptom of freshness of the products. Very welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable staff. I recommend booking to be sure of being seated as the place does not have a large number of seats, at the same time as it is not sponsored so there is no crowd and therefore you can hope to find a place even without booking.

Perfect welcome! Excellent food and divinely cooked. The owner takes you into a fairy tale, explaining step by step the procedure and manufacturing of the dishes with the passion that few have. A zuppa inglese worthy of 10 and praise! .... everything else beyond praise!

The place is really nice. The owner is very kind. Excellent explanations of the dishes. Good dinner with a first course and then a plate of delicious vegetables. Excellent wine.

Vi e’ mai capitato di sentire come vi illustra il menu’ Sergio ? Mangiereste tutto, credetemi. Vi sentirete subito a vostro agio avvolti dalla sua empatia. Prima di tutto, Sergio è una persona laboriosa, onesta, incredibilmente gentile ed empatica che ama il suo lavoro. Le sue conoscenze professionali risalgono a molti anni fa. Ogni volta che vengo, trovo sempre delle novita’ sul menu’. L’enoteca ha una buona scelta di etichette. Personale sempre all’altezza del locale, vorrei esprimere il mio ringraziamento speciale a Lorenzo, che ci ha sempre accolto con il suo sorriso e la sua calorosa amicizia. Dovete andare assolutamente quando siete a Ferrara. PS: una cosa da non sottovalutare, ha un comodissimo parcheggio davanti all’enoteca.

Ate well, dishes not abundant but excellent, high prices, six glasses of medium label wine 33 euros per counter without even a savory snack, then dinner.
