the restaurant was placed inside ancient water cisterns, which makes it very particular and fascinating. the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing, the staff are attentive, thoughtful, present, available, always ready to explain their dishes or products and to satisfy every request. I was in this place the first evening I arrived in Matera, with my partner, we chose some typical dishes and two glasses of red wine, (primitivo and aglianico) the owner, very kind, wanted us to taste some Greek and offered us two glasses and at the end offered two glasses of liqueur. right proportions, excellent quality/price ratio. highly recommended!

Sophisticated restaurant and wine bar with an unusual but special location!
On a hot day in Matera we discovered this restaurant located inside some historic cellars where the temperature was very pleasant.
The manager was immediately particularly kind and welcoming, he welcomed us with a glass of prosecco and we tasted very good and fresh typical dishes.
Excellent value for money! Worth a stop!

The location is very beautiful and particular, dug into one of the stones of Matera.
The food was good overall, but there wasn't much choice. Prices slightly higher than average. Very fast service and very kind waiters

Pleasant discovery in the historic part of Matera, a unique location with 3 ancient water cisterns that have become design venues where you can taste excellent traditional Matera cuisine. Friendly and professional staff. Very recommended!!

We stopped in this restaurant while walking in the historic center of Matera, we were amazed by the environment we found ourselves in front of when we opened the entrance door,
a one-of-a-kind underground, peculiarity of eating in environments created in the ancient water collection cisterns which still maintain the layers of color due to the minerals dissolved in them.
Very helpful staff and traditional Matera food well revisited, certainly a stop to recommend for those visiting Matera
