We came to eat and unfortunately it's closed on Tuesdays.

An old inn with an open kitchen. Excellent, hearty dishes. The history of the oldest wine shop in the world makes it a unique place.

Nice food, but nothing special. Small menu, but unfortunately only in Italian. They don't have a translated menu

On a trip to Ferrara. We stopped at Al Brindisi, a historic, welcoming Osteria. We had tagliatelle with ragù, braised beef with mashed potatoes, lasagna 'gnorante, and a tigelle appetizer with mixed cold cuts. The food was quality, with a good selection of wines, a friendly host, and perfect service. They don't take reservations, but if you're passing by, it's worth the wait. Recommended.

We had high expectations for one of the most historic restaurants in the city—and the world—and we can say they were practically fulfilled. The restaurant is centrally located, right next to the Duomo. The atmosphere is very charming and refined; we ate outside because it was packed, but despite this, the experience was pleasant. The menu offers traditional Ferrara dishes, accompanied by a good selection of wines. All the dishes served were very good and well-balanced, especially the first courses. The pumpkin cappellacci were especially noteworthy, truly excellent. The wine-braised beef, while not particularly tender, was still very enjoyable. The staff was friendly and quick with their service: the dishes arrived almost immediately, and the waiter who looked after us was friendly and attentive, especially in dealing with a small misunderstanding regarding desserts, which meant we had to wait a little longer than expected. The only downside is the lack of heating in the outdoor area, which made lunch slightly less comfortable. In any case, the restaurant is highly recommended: it's worth trying both for the quality of the cuisine and the excellent value for money.

Historic restaurant in the city center, next to the cathedral. Limited seating and very small spaces. The pumpkin cappellacci with butter and sage are excellent, and the paparucia is very good.

Magnificent restaurant. Good service and better food

Historic wine bar with cuisine in a casual setting in the heart of the historic center. Recommended.

Questa osteria, situata in una strada laterale accanto alla cattedrale, serve vino dal 1435. Ciò è stato confermato dal libro dei Guinness dei primati. Apparentemente Tiziano, Copernico e altri luminari storici, hanno gustato un bicchiere di vino e un servizio cortese qui. C"è una buona selezione di vini locali al bicchiere, che sono accompagnati da un piatto di salumi gratuiti.
