Extraordinary! We stumbled upon it by chance, trusted our instincts, and hit the nail on the head! Superlative food (let the pasticcio alla ferrarese win you over, sublime), excellent welcome and service, and a fine wine pairing. It's just a shame we couldn't try everything...the tagliatelle with ragù, for example, looked amazing! A special mention for the service, courtesy, and attentiveness of the staff.

This restaurant is considered the oldest tavern in the world, with origins dating back, according to historical sources, to the year 1100.
Small but extremely welcoming, it's a quaint place where history and authenticity reign supreme. The menu offers traditional dishes, simple yet well-executed.
The service is informal, with young, friendly staff contributing to the authentic atmosphere. A must-see for those seeking authentic flavors and good value.
The wine selection is also good, all (I believe) organic.

The place is very nice, right in the city center. Everything we ordered was very good at a very reasonable price. The only flaw was the unusually rude attitude of one of the waiters (a rather young blond man), who repeatedly made it clear he was in a hurry to close the place. We got up around 10:15 PM, which I consider a reasonable time to finish dinner, but despite this, we had to endure annoyed looks, him slapping his hips to emphasize his annoyance, and even a very polite five-second countdown to let us finish what was on our plate so he could take it away. Aside from his antics, the dinner was fantastic, and the other waiter was extremely polite and helpful. Overall, I recommend this place.

This place is the oldest tavern in the world. According to historical sources, it existed as early as 1100. In the 15th century, people arrived here by boat. Rather small, it's welcoming and uniquely quaint. The menu features traditional dishes as well as delicious cured meats.

Questa osteria, situata in una strada laterale accanto alla cattedrale, serve vino dal 1435. Ciò è stato confermato dal libro dei Guinness dei primati. Apparentemente Tiziano, Copernico e altri luminari storici, hanno gustato un bicchiere di vino e un servizio cortese qui. C"è una buona selezione di vini locali al bicchiere, che sono accompagnati da un piatto di salumi gratuiti.
