We arrived in Como quite tired and were hoping for a relaxing and idyllic city. But we were disappointed. By chance, we stumbled into Enoteca 84 just outside the city center and were warmly welcomed by the hostess, who was also the chef and sommelier. This made our entire day trip to Como worthwhile! We both had delicious local bass with sage, which was incredibly tasty fried in butter. A truly original, authentic, and lovely place to eat. Highly recommended for a real meal!!

This woman is an Italian treasure. Protect her. We nick named her Nona. 💖🇮🇹 Her food is perfect and she despite not speaking English is happy to help you receive and amazing meal and a wonderful experience. We were there two nights in a row Oct 1-2, 2025

Great atmosphere, the lady makes you feel at ease. The food is delicious!!!! I had the pasta with clams and mussels and I swear it was heaven on earth. The chestnut and chocolate dessert was truly delicious!!! You have to go!!! Everything the lady makes is delicious!!!!

Thanks to the person who commented for not trusting the restaurant's appearance; I was very hesitant before going in... But what a surprise when I tasted the dish (rib-eye steak + pork shank)!! The owner manages the service and the kitchen! I highly recommend it!

The food was really good! And lovely Chiara doubled up as the chef and waitress. A one woman job! It felt like Nonna's home cooked food. Will highly recommend and visit again when we're back in Como. Great vino, great service and great food.

Came here 3 days in a row because I fell in love with nonna’s seabass stew. One of the yummiest meal I had in Como. The seafood pasta can be alittle inconsistent in taste but generally still tasty and cooked very al dente. Nonna was super cute and kept waving at us when we were leaving; though I think she did frown at me cos I couldn’t finish my food. 😆There’s some language barrier but they gave English menus.

12/12/2025: An unforgettable place in every sense. The atmosphere created by the family who run this restaurant and guesthouse is unlike anything else - the closest comparison would be a warm, welcoming, genuinely loving home. The location itself is absolutely magical, but it’s the way guests are looked after that turns a beautiful spot into a truly exceptional experience. The view alone would easily justify paying two or even three times more for both the meal and the stay - and then come the little surprises, like wild boar wandering just below the window. And of course, the food: the owner’s wife cooks with such skill and heart that every dish feels like a highlight in its own right. The service is wonderful, thoughtful, and sincerely caring. Just one piece of essential advice: if you’re arriving by car, follow the owner’s directions exactly. Do not rely on Google Maps - trust him, and you’ll get there safely and without stress. A magical stay. Highly recommended.
29/11/2025: A very welcoming place surrounded by nature, with incredible lake views, very attentive and super friendly staff, and delicious homemade food.

22/10/2025: We went to the Mandarin on Lake Como for an aperitivo, and the location is truly spectacular. It's a little hard to find, but the staff at the entrance were very kind and seated us even without a reservation. They took us down to the bar on a golf cart, so we didn't have to walk all the way down, which was really convenient. The view of the lake is breathtaking, the location is elegant, and the service impeccable. We had two glasses of Franciacorta, a focaccia, and some complimentary appetizers. We ended up paying around €25 each: a price in line with the exclusive setting, but absolutely worth it for the view, the atmosphere, and the overall experience.
