A point of reference in Andezeno for lunch, fast, cheap and quality

Update as of 10-07-2024 I've known this restaurant for years, and every time I'm in the area for work I come here. The dishes are like at home with genuine and tasty ingredients in an excellent way. No dish disappoints. Unfortunately, with the breadsticks the quality has dropped and there aren't those delicious large breadsticks that were there before. The food counter is always there with expertly selected genuine products from different regions of Italy that are not to be missed, as are the excellent wines. DO NOT miss out (when they are available) on the small mortadellas... they are a delight!

Found by chance on a Sunday trip, it was a great discovery! We ate delicious and fresh typical Piedmontese food. We also took home the green anchovies, amazing! We will definitely be back

My friend Vincent and I decide to take a spiritual trip, going precisely to Castelnuovo Don Bosco Mondonio, "birthplace of S. Domenico Savio", a small hamlet where the young Saint was born. Given the lunch time, we notice the Emporio Gastronomico Restaurant, with a convenient car park in front of the entrance. At the entrance, there is a fridge counter, full of typical Piedmontese cured meats and cheeses and ready-made appetizers. We decide on a platter of cured meats, tajarin with white ragù, polenta with stew, accompanied by a Nebbiolo d'Alba. In the end we were not very satisfied with the dishes, good but nothing exceptional, certainly note the freshness of the products and the empathy created by the kind lady who served us and the owner "chef". It is definitely a place to recommend.
