In the main square of Poggio Mirteto, the village in the heart of Sabina, this place is welcoming and nice, with both indoor and outdoor tables. Excellent food, quality ingredients. The focaccia with mortadella and pistachio is delicious, the strangozzi with cheese and pepper are excellent and the crispy chicken with sautéed chicory is special. Really good dishes, large portions, all served by friendly and welcoming staff. Advised!

We were coming from a tour of the Sabina.
Found it a bit by chance reading reviews here on Google.
Small place in the center of Poggio Mirteto, industrial style with paper placemats.
We tasted an inviting roast with pistachio pesto and amazing crunchy onion.
As a side dish, sautéed chicory, very good and well cooked even if slightly small in portion.
Friendly and polite service.
One water, 2 chicory and 2 roasts Total paid €44.

Fast, attentive and courteous service.
Compact menu, two starters, three first courses, 5/6 second courses. What we tried was delicious: focaccine with mortadella, Sabine strangozzi and pappardelle with wild asparagus. To finish, a delicious cheesecake and lemon tart. The menu changes frequently, in accordance with the season and availability. Never was a chance discovery luckier!

Every Carnival I have the healthy habit of bringing my family to enjoy the good cuisine of Emporio 48 and so it was again this year.
Now it's safe to go to Chiara and Federico, is there the same menu as last year? Very good!! It's exactly what I wanted! Roast beef with pistachio and crispy onion is a specialty, but eat it slowly, enjoy it, and who knows, you might be left with a bit of sadness because you ate it all.....
It's not the classic everyday flavor, but it's worth eating it at least once, but be careful, it can be "addictive"...
