Emporio 1920 In Bologna

I booked here by chance, but it was a wonderful surprise. A top-notch lunch, surrounded by a very refined, spacious setting and excellent service. The lasagna was the best I've had here in Bologna, and even the cutlet was a work of art. The cold cuts and appetizers were also excellent. Congratulations!

A nice restaurant, although the first-floor dining room is reached by a steep staircase and has a somewhat low ceiling. The dishes are reasonably priced and of decent quality, although the tortellini broth wasn't particularly flavorful. The biggest flaw was the bread basket, which wasn't particularly fresh, and since we were in Bologna and ordered a cold cuts and friggione appetizer, we could have done much better. Overall, it's good if your expectations aren't too high.

A charming, classic, and refined location, with a 1930s feel. The quality was excellent; I had an excellent flan with creamed leeks and exquisite balanzoni Bolognese. The dessert selection was also very tasty. I really appreciated that the menu had a limited number of options, all very traditional. The place is also small, which makes for a very relaxed atmosphere. We also ordered various wines and liqueurs, spending €41 each. A very good value for the quality!

Very simple and intimate place! Too bad the tortellini aren't homemade.

It’s by coincidence that we ended up in this small and cozy restaurant. We were really surprised, not only by the original menu, the excellent taste and quality of the food, but especially also the friendliness of the girls working there. I have one little suggestion for the owner, some of the chairs are really uncomfortable to sit on because of the coil springs almost penetrating the fabric 😉. So maybe raise your prices with one euro (they are really not exaggerate now) and invest in new chairs …

Italian food on a high level. Better than the average restaurant but without being too fancy. Good service, I will come back

Amazing little gem of a restaurant in Bologna! Amazing Bolognese sauce, the freshest pasta, and a house Sangiovese for 6 eur a glass that is unbelievable! Very local vibe, but very accommodating to travelers from all over.
