Emporio 1920 In Bologna

Excellent meal for our first night in Bologna! We wanted to sample the local cuisine and I found the place - it had great reviews, I was able to make a reservation online, and it was a bit away from the tourist masses. Food alone would warrant 5 stars, plus the waitstaff was kind and the service was quick. Tried the tagliatelle allá ragú, tortellini in brodo, bolognese meatballs, and friggione and all were excellent! A great way to get a taste of bolognese classics

Loved our dinner last night @ Vamolino! It was a short walk from our hotel and not in the middle of the center congestion. Food was fabulous along with the wonderful service! Definitely worth a stop when looking for a place for dinner in Bologna.

We had lunch with friends at this restaurant. It's a lovely place, but the food could be improved. The Bolognese cutlet was loose, the breading came off, it was bland, and you couldn't taste the Parmesan cheese on top (it was mostly cream or something else). The baked potatoes were served cold and, in my opinion, a little undercooked. Overall, a nice place and good service, but I've had better elsewhere.

It was simply unbelievably delicious, and everyone was incredibly friendly. We had bresaola and meatballs for main course, filled pasta parcels for starters, and panna cotta for dessert. Everything was truly excellent; we've rarely eaten so well. You can tell everything is fresh and homemade. The wine was also excellent. Highly recommended!

We went for lunch today. They made a mistake with our first course order (1 out of four), but they quickly corrected it with professionalism and courtesy. Well done! Good food and friendly service. What more could you ask for?

One last evening with a dear friend before his departure, finding meaning and conversation during wonderful food. Vamolino is classical but still slightly different, perfectly differentiating themselves for the classic bolognese cuisine. We had a long dinner and a good bottle of wine, followed by a couple of bottles more. If you want amazing food this is definitely worth going. Bravo little brother of va mo la (if I’m correct)

Came across this restaurant on maps as it was a short walk from where we were staying in Bologna. After reading the great reviews, I was confident we’d made a good choice, and indeed we had. The tagliatelle bolognese was amazing and as was the lasagne. Reasonably priced and nice atmosphere in the restaurant. I had the semi freddo type of dessert (can’t remember exactly what it was) but this was really yummy. The staff were lovely as well.
