The gelato is fabulous, with a very detailed flavor selection. We also had a tray of almond, walnut, and chocolate pastries. I can only add that they are spectacular!

After 10km of walking and only 1l of water, we found comfort in this little gelateria which also offers puff pastry, but above all a range of excellent desserts. And what's more, the staff is welcoming, friendly and smiling 🤩

Amazing gelato. We were intrigued by some unique flavors, so after ordering a cone with two flavors each (incidentally, in fantastic chocolate wafers!)—truly exceptional—we wanted to try another flavor. So I asked for another single-flavor gelato in a cup (listed on the chalkboard for €2). When the lady saw the €2, she told me I needed to specify a baby gelato, so she emptied the cup (which was just barely filled) to better measure out the portion, giving me a scoop. This gesture surprised me negatively, leaving me a bit disappointed... What a shame.

Villa Ciconia Restaurant

18/09/2025: We chose this property for its historic character and its pool. We used it for about two hours because it was full of mosquitoes, and we and other guests had to flee. The area could be disinfected so guests can enjoy relaxing by the pool, but instead we had to go up to our room and then leave. The lobby cleaning was a bit unnecessary, and we would have liked a check-in to be done with a smile. The room and breakfast room were dimly lit, and there was no large mirror. Excellent Italian breakfast. We checked out with a smile, asking: "Are you not using the pool?"... Positive notes for the three of us: historic structure, breakfast, proximity to Orvieto. I'm attaching a photo.
24/06/2025: Came here by chance while traveling, as it is close to the highway - but I'll come back for a vacation for sure after seeing this unique building and the lovely town it is in. People are friendly and laid back, the room is large and has AC, the hotel is clean. Total hidden gem! Highly recommended!!
