Emoraya In Milano

The wagyu donburi is amazing! I’m Japanese descendant living in Europe (London) and this specific dish is the best I had in all my years living abroad. Worth the visit.

I went there for my birthday with my girlfriend and we had the tasting menu...a wonderful journey of tastes and flavors! Dishes with attention to detail, attentive service, and a super-stylish atmosphere. You won't be disappointed!

Over the past year, it's become a very dear place to me! I travel to Milan every now and then to meet up with a friend I met when we were both doing university internships in Japan. We were looking for a restaurant that could somehow cure our homesickness, and we found it in Emoraya. The atmosphere is quiet and welcoming, the staff warm and friendly. Some dishes are seasonal, and every time I return, I can't wait to see what's been added to the menu. I highly recommend Emoraya to anyone who has left a piece of their heart in Japan.

I went in this place completely randomly and I am greatly surprised! The place is run by japanese expats and it has genuine authentic japanese food with a great selection of imported sake as well. The staff is super welcoming and helpful in guiding your choice. I ordered the yakimeshi, which was served with the most tender and juiciest pork I've honestly ever had, definetly reccomended. Unfortunately the tasting menu is available only for dinner, which means I must come again then next time I am in Milan. A bit on the expensive side but the quality and service reflect the price well. I was lucky to find a place on a random weekday at lunch so make sure to reserve first!

We have been regular visitors of Emoraya, and every time - being it a lunch or a dinner - the food and service are exceptional! Takara and his team are the best to provide 5-star experience. My favorites are a raw fish or bistecca bowl, anguilla with rice, pork. Must be in the Michelin guide for sure!

An authentic Japanese cuisine experience in an elegant, minimalist atmosphere. All the dishes are exquisite and well-balanced. Appetizers: fried tofu with daikon and Ponzi sauce, miso-marinated cheese, and grilled amberjack cheek (truly special), all excellent. Main course: eel and rice. Phenomenal, to say the least. Desserts: sake and Kyoto ice cream made with love, truly exquisite. The owner has a truly remarkable selection of whiskeys, and his passion for explaining and recommending is wonderful. The staff is truly kind and knowledgeable. ❤️

The food was very good and definitely tastes a lot like the real Japanese food unlike those in Chinese-Japanese fusion restaurants. The waiters were very nice and friendly and tried to engage with us, will definitely return here again!
