A wonderfully historic hotel with excellent cuisine.

We "only" visited the restaurant | a very enjoyable lunch with a daily menu that was priced in the upper range... but certainly justified by the quality of the food and drinks, the perfect service, and the ambiance of the establishment... it was really good...

A beautiful old hotel with a fascinating history, furnished and decorated with great attention to detail. You immediately feel at ease in this special atmosphere. The spa area is simply lovely for chilling out and relaxing, and the breakfast selection is extensive and delicious. The bar is also highly recommended. And as a bonus, there's a hotel park. Centrally located, absolutely recommended, and although it's a luxury hotel, you can definitely find a good price.

While I was disappointed that Apostelstube was closed, The Elephant Restaurant was one of the best meals I’ve had in recent memory. The tagliatelle with spinach cream and white truffle (getting extra truffle takes it over the top) and the roe deer saddle with on chestnut cream with brussel sprouts and black currant jus were simply spectacular. These are dishes I will remember for a long time. I could not recommend this restaurant highly enough!

We went to Brixen specifically to stay at this hotel, and to dine in its Michelin starred restaurant. While we were not overall disappointed, we would have expected a little bit better. This historic establishment has a marvelous location and the building itself is quite like a museum when it comes to history, arts and furnishing. We stayed in the main building, in standard rooms. The rooms are clean, but really basic. The bathrooms were very small and showed some wear and tear. Very few amenities (no shampoo, nor conditioner, just shower gel and body lotion). The Spa is well advertised on their website and I was expecting something a bit better. The sauna was small, with little information about the "dress code" (some people were nude, others weren't), the wet sauna was turned off. I was told there is water available, and I am sure there is, but I couldn't find it. Most spas also offer herbal teas, which was not the case here. The pool area with loungers is nice. The pool is lightly heated. I disliked the fitness room. It is extremely small. I gather it might have been a cellar as the ceilings are very low and vaulted - which doesn't make it for it being airy enough to feel confortable. There is only a tredmill, a bike, a bench and a few dumbells. Regardless: you wouldn't want to exercise heavily in that space. No water in the fitness room - no towels either. The best part of the experience is the breakfast buffet and the overall service. Breakfst offers a bounty of options - both sweet and savory- of outstanding quality. Service is impeccable. I think you pay for the history, the location and the (past) reputation of the establishment. I have been in 4 stars (this is a 4 stars + according to their ad) that provided a more comfortable stay, better facilities for a lower price. I understand that might not be the case in Brixen, but some standards should be quite universal. That being said, I don't regret going there.

A very positive experience: luxurious, clean, and very friendly and helpful staff. A generous, high-quality breakfast. A 4-minute walk from the center. Recommended.

A great hotel – a feel-good atmosphere guaranteed! In the hotel's restaurant – the following dialogue took place: Waiter (without a greeting): 'Sparkling or still?' Me: 'Excuse me?' Waiter: 'Well, sparkling or still?' It takes some getting used to!! ...as a female guest who doesn't order a full meal, you feel completely second-class by the service staff...

We just spent a night in this exceptional hotel for its elegance, location and kindness, an enchanting place impeccably renovated, it feels like entering a museum, with classic but modern rooms furnished with taste and refinement, I stayed in the wonderful Marianne suite, superlative breakfast, varied and abundant, highly recommended
