I always enjoy being a guest in the Hotel Elephant's restaurant. The dishes (especially the tartare) are always a pleasure, the service is attentive and simply tip top. A wonderful atmosphere and you can just feel good.

Der holzgetäfelte Gästeraum ist etwas gedrungen, doch hat er eine heimelige Atmosphäre. Ungünstig erweist sich die Kredenz mit Gläsern, Tellern und Besteck in der Mitte des ersten Gastraumes. Freilich ist bei diesem zentralen Arbeitsplatz ein ständiges Kommen und Gehen, doch wir wollten ein entspannten Abend und nicht den Obern beim Arbeiten zusehen. Das Amuse-Bouche war mit einer Scheibe Schinkenspeck auf Frischkäse eigentlich nur fett. Auf die Vorspeise des Menüs Gnochhetti /Burrata war eine Sardelle gelegt, die die feine Geschmackskomposition gänzlich zerschlug. Der Saltimbocca-Mantel ließ das Kalbsrückensteak etwas zäh werden. Schade. Die Weinempfehlung verriet Kennerschaft, das Dessert war ausgezeichnet. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war in Ordnung. Tipp: Lassen Sie sich einen Tisch in den hinteren Räumlichkeiten zuweisen. Stammgäste haben dort auch ihren Platz.

Partiamo da un punto: è uno dei più bei ristoranti nei quali abbia mai cenato in vita mia. La stufa in ceramica è un oggetto bellissimo, e tenuto in modo splendido; la stube è semplicemente perfetta. Per la cena ho scelto un assaggio di cinque formaggi locali come antipasto, abbinati a due confetture; abbinamento molto valido e formaggi eccellenti, peccato solo che la quantità fosse piuttosto ridotta. Come secondo, ho optato per il filetto di cervo, e la scelta è stata ottima, cottura perfetta e la salsa che lo accompagnava era deliziosa. Un piatto stupendo. Per chiudere, lo strudel accompagnato da un gelato alla vaniglia, strudel di grande fragranza, mi è piaciuto molto. Riguardo al vino, l'unico inconveniente della serata, abbiamo scelto una bottiglia di un vino rosso 2021, un vino strutturato ma ancora giovane, che una volta aperto, ci è stato versato direttamente nel decanter dal commis di sala, senza che ci fosse chiesto se volessimo questa cosa, o no. Peccato, anche perché il ristorante ha una carta dei vini molto ben fatta, dove si nota la mano di un sommelier, e con ricarichi ragionevoli. A parte questa sbavatura, una bella esperienza in un posto splendido, che consiglio.
