Stop before catching the train, on the way back from a visit to the Accademia!! The staff is young, cheerful, fast, and friendly! Typical Venetian cicchetti, both fried and delicious crostini. We especially ordered the cacio e pepe and mozzarella-in-carrozza meatball, and two crostini, one with creamed cod and one with baby octopus alla buzara...delicious. All paired with a glass of prosecco with the lees. Reasonable price.
We stopped by El Sbarlefo planning to grab a quick bite to go but the welcoming atmosphere made us stay and sit. The Aperol Spritz was perfect. Definitely try the anchovies, a true flavor explosion in your mouth. A cozy spot with friendly service that makes you want to linger.
