Excellent Mexican food at a good price. The various tacos and nachos are truly exceptional. The restaurant is located in a garage inside the Irnerio Market. Highly recommended.

We came from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and wanted to eat tacos. All the food here at El Jalapeño is the same as it is in Mexico. 100% recommended for all Italians and foreigners who come to Rome.

It's a shameful delay to write about this place where we've become a regular. Lina has brought Mexico to Rome, with all its flavors and colors. Giancarlo and the kitchen staff attentively guide you through the various flavors of the real Mexico... not the tamed and bastardized fare I found in Parma (another review), at the Ritual restaurant. We return whenever we crave home and good, wholesome food. Thank you!!!

These were some of the best tacos I’ve had in my life. I spend a lot of time when I’m home finding good quality authentic tacos and these are some of the best I’ve found. Their horchata was ranked in my top 3 horchatas it was very very good! They were so nice. You have to order on a paper slip and hand it in. This is a very low key place. It is kind of on the outskirts but easily connected by busses. I traveled alone back from there at night and the walkway was well lit to walk to the bus stop (3mins) and there were plenty of other people waiting for a bus.

Great experience! If you want to eat something authentic and at super reasonable prices, you're in the perfect place! Mrs. Lina... you can tell she loves what she does! Everything is fresh and handmade! Even the cocktails... out of this world!!! Try the Lime Margherita. ♡♡♡

La comida es auténtica y deliciosa! Mucha música divertida y vibras geniales. Los asientos son un poco incómodos, pero nunca comí comida mexicana tan buena en Roma, así que supongo que vale la pena!

15/08/2025: A must-try ice cream shop! The staff are always friendly and there's a wide selection of flavors, even for those like me who are lactose intolerant. In addition to the classic fruit flavors, they also offer many more sophisticated vegan flavors! They also have plant-based cream if you like! You can taste the quality of the ingredients... highly recommended!
