I was in Venezia, staying at the Casa Vacanza, Madonna Dell'Orto. I was hungry for some really good pizza - Dear Padre, the Monsignor and host, pointed the way to this hidden, heavenly gem! It was about 10 am and I traversed a bridge, walked down a narrow street and saw a healthy line of people waiting for their turn to enter fresh baked paradise! I wanted one of everything, but because I was craving pizza, I opted for the pizza con funghi. The young lady helping me asked how much I wanted - scissors in hand, to cut to size the amount. That was a first for me, and frankly, really clever and practical. Everyone standing in line, the employees, Padre's recommendation - they all are a part of what makes Venezia one of the most magical, mysteries on Earth!
