Siamo capitati da Dulcis In Fundo quasi per caso, con l’idea di fermarci giusto per un aperitivo… e invece, complice l’atmosfera, la splendida vista sui Sassi di Matera e l’accoglienza impeccabile, siamo rimasti anche per cena. È stata una scelta vincente! Il locale ha un fascino unico: la terrazza affacciata sui Sassi è suggestiva e regala un panorama che da solo vale la visita. Il cibo ottimo, piatti curati, saporiti e porzioni giuste; i prezzi onesti e assolutamente in linea con la qualità. Un grazie speciale a Roland, il nostro cameriere: gentile, simpatico e alla mano, ci ha fatto sentire come a casa fin dal primo momento, trasformando una cena in un’esperienza tra amici. Torneremo sicuramente.

A wonderful atmosphere with a view over Matera. The service is friendly and helpful, and I'm sure you'll find a large, unpretentious tourist, yet still a pleasant side to the road. The food is good and the portions aren't overpriced, but they're just too big to be savoury. We recommend it after 8:00 PM to enjoy the lights of the place. Beautiful atmosphere with a great view, but the service is a bit slow and not always super friendly. If you try to chat, you can tell they really have a lot of work to do. The food is okay with sufficient portions. Very nice in the evening.

Al centro di Matera. Locale accogliente e molto tipico, comodo per aperitivi o pranzi/cene veloci. Personale molto cortese e professionale. Il tagliere da 16€ (medio) che abbiamo preso (salumi, formaggi e pane caldo) e un panino (mortadella, stracciata e granella di pistacchi) da 5€ erano molto buoni. Consigliato.

11/10/2025: We had dinner with friends, and the meal was decent. What surprised me was the price! The restaurant has retained its vintage style but has updated its prices to match those of the best Michelin-starred restaurants.
07/10/2025: Best restaurant in Matera!! The food is delicious and the staff is incredibly friendly, especially the owner. Highly recommended!

04/11/2025: Dinner with my wife, fantastic seafood scialatielli, definitely the best I've ever had. The pizza was also excellent, while my wife had sole and, according to her, was satisfied. The house white wine was decent and well-suited to the seafood. The service was informal but not intrusive. If you arrive early or, better yet, make a reservation, you can dine on the terrace. The price was more than fair. I can't rate the hotel as I only had dinner there, but I can say that the hotel guests who were there for dinner seemed satisfied.
02/11/2025: The food is delicious, and I always take your preferences and wishes into account. The people are incredibly friendly, no matter your religion or nationality. There was a small incident: I FORGOT to pay for the pasta 😂😂😂 (because I wasn't very sober), but not only did I pay, no one yelled at me for being a bad person, but they were very understanding. They even gave me a ride because I had to walk 10 km. So, I recommend this place; if I'm lucky enough to be here again, I'll definitely come back.
