Du Palle In Lucca

We were passing through Lucca and had lunch at this restaurant. The food was 🔝 all very good and plentiful (in fact, we brought lunch for the next day). Service was fairly quick as there were a lot of people. However, the place needs a complete overhaul.

We had a wonderful time, ordering an appetizer, first course, second course, side dish, dessert, and drinks, and we spent very little for the quality and quantity of food. Add to that the owner is simply delightful, exuding passion and love for his work. Highly recommended, we'll be back!

Trattoria Du' Palle Review - Lucca: The Last Piece of Our Perfect Puzzle It's never too late to thank those who make you feel at home. Although a little late, I wanted to put down on paper the experience I had last summer (August 1, 2025) at Trattoria Du' Palle. For our family, vacationing on Elba Island has become synonymous with relaxation and harmony. Every day is a piece of a puzzle we build together, made up of changes in plans and new itineraries. But that puzzle wouldn't be complete without that last piece: the one that makes you smile and closes the circle beautifully. That piece is dinner at Davide's. Last year, we arrived early, and while we waited for the opening, Davide welcomed us with the transparency and passion that distinguish him, proudly showing us the new location and sharing his goals with us. It's rare to find such professionalism combined with such genuine warmth. The quality of the food is something to write a poem about: from the "Fantasticissima" (their exceptional Fiorentina), served with the usual theatrical mastery that enchants the eye, to the aromas of the Gricia that envelop you as soon as the plate hits the table. But beyond the flavors, what remains is the affection and extreme kindness with which we are treated. ​Davide, our promise is renewed: the puzzle of summer 2026 is already under construction, and on July 31st we will be back at Trattoria Du’ Palle to put the final piece in place. If I could give more stars, I definitely would. We were welcomed warmly and kindly. The older gentleman was very kind and friendly, and the lady's professionalism was top-notch. She was also very friendly, even after the whole evening. Typical of the friendly people of Lucca, they even offered a sicchiata with Nutella. Nothing to complain about, and the price was more than fair, considering how much we ate. We will definitely be back, and with great gratitude.

The location is very large, the owner is friendly, the food is excellent, even though there were many of us we ate well, we will return soon

The Tex? Excellent as always, every time I go to Lucca I can't miss a stop at the Tex restaurant.

Good value for money The only thing... let everyone add their own pecorino in the carbonara. I really like it, but it was too much and too strong, even for me.

This isn't just a simple lunch, but an experience. Excellent food accompanied by fantastic staff, which concluded our little vacation, already marked as a place to return to. A 10!!!
