It wasn't a pleasant experience. The waiters were extremely kind and professional, the food was decent but the portions were overpriced and overly generous. But the thing that bothered us most was the sommelier, who, casually, offered us two bottles of Morellino. I only found out they cost ninety euros because I asked, otherwise I would have found a surprise on the bill. I asked him to bring us a bottle at a much lower price, and he returned with a sixty-euro bottle, which I accepted only because I didn't want to make another fuss and embarrass the person I was dining with. Afterward, clearly annoyed by our choice because he earned less, he behaved in a snobbish and subtly arrogant manner throughout the evening. When we said goodbye as we left the restaurant, he only gave us a half-hearted hello without even looking up. If it had been my restaurant and I had seen something like that happen, I would have fired him on the spot. I won't be returning.

Today, Monday, while passing through, we stopped at this restaurant for lunch. It's a lovely, welcoming place, with attentive and friendly staff and good Tuscan cuisine with a medium-high quality/price ratio. That's good.

Extremely well-prepared dishes, very high quality, good price, kind and prepared staff

Starter: A plate of assorted local cheeses with jam, pickled vegetables, and homemade bread. Excellent. Main courses: Very tasty lamb and homemade pasta with a ragout of duck, rabbit, and pigeon. Both dishes were rich in flavor, and the portions were just the right size. Desserts: Tiramisu and a deconstructed cake. The cream in the tiramisu set a very high standard for all tiramisus. The wine list is extensive, with several local wines available by the glass (among them an exceptional Brunello di Montalcino San Polo, which inspired us to head straight to Montalcino after the meal). The staff was helpful and friendly. Reservation recommended. The price is appropriate for the level of the restaurant.

Lovely food experience with a sommelier helping to select a wine from their 60 page wine selection. Food prices were reasonable but wine prices started from €25 up to €450. Take the earlier reservation if you want to guarantee quick service. Fills quickly. Friendly staff.

The meal was very good, but the price was way too high. Update following the owner's response: Look, I eat out quite often, and I assure you, I've never spent so much at any restaurant in the Val d'Orcia. The Fiorentina steak, for example, is fine. I knew how much it cost, but it was €20 for two measly glasses of wine (we had to ask for a full portion because we'd only been given one sample). And we didn't even order a fine wine, instead "settling" for a red... Well... that's unheard of. Anyway, you're right to ask for whatever you want... and I'd be right not to come back to you again...

A beautiful and impressive location, a classic Tuscan countryside lunch with a breathtaking view. The food, however, was a bit less so. Two of my friends (who ate the same dish, so it's no coincidence that there were three of us) and I both had food poisoning, so the food probably needs rethinking.

The prices are above average for restaurants in the Val d'Orcia, with no significant difference in quality. I think €14 for the chicken liver pâté or €12 for the crostini are a bit steep. These are classic local dishes, and these were no different in flavor or selection from those you'd find elsewhere, but at a lower price. The location is certainly well-maintained and the food is high-quality, but that doesn't justify the €3 cover charge or the €18 for the pici all'aglione or al ragù.

Spectacular place... happy to have discovered it thanks to a local friend... perfect for lovers of Tuscan cuisine and meat. This place is the best!!! We'll be back often... ❤️
