Dopolavoro La Foce In Pienza

We had dinner one evening in early March 2025. A very nice and particular place, a renovated former Dopolavoro. Very friendly staff and excellent food. I recommend it!

A typical Tuscan place that you don't expect; 10 minutes from Bagno Vignoni and in the heart of Val D'Orcia, you enter an inn from times gone by. Since 1939 in this place we have eaten as we once did. Mini pans with a little, truffle tagliatelle, fondue in the bowl and Florentine steaks and meats of all kinds. Courteous and kind staff always attentive to everyone. A wine list out of the ordinary.

Lunch for three, good food....prices a little high. I remembered it being less expensive.

Great atmosphere and wide options of local Tuscany food and wines. Several components are prepared locally like breads and sauces. I have asked to substitute a meat hamburger for local pecorino cheese, to have a vegetarian hamburger, and they served me the bread with melted cheese.

New Year's Eve buffet lunch (or brunch, as it is nice to say now) in the all-you-can-eat option. Good choice, good quantity, few desserts and not very fresh, but it can be accommodated given the period. To try again in "embers on" mode....

A place that gives a different impression from the outside compared to the inside. Modern, well-kept furnishings. Plenty of waiters who ensure that the service is very good. Excellent quality food thanks to high-quality raw materials. The only flaw the bill is very salty. The quality/price ratio is too unbalanced despite the excellent quality of the food.
