26/12/2024: After our experience at La Castellana today, it shocking to see that this restaurant doesn’t have a rating that appropriately reflects how delightful it is. The minestra, made with seasonal vegetables from their garden, alone is worth 5 stars - and that’s before you add the warm, friendly service, the wonderfully flavorful lardo, local cheese selection and homemade pasta with wild boar. As we dined on a cold day beside their fireplace, I remarked on how much I already couldn’t wait to return. If your focus is on the older interior, you’re missing all of the joys that this restaurant and their kind team offers. Highly recommend.

25/12/2024: Pranzo di Natale, ambiente con un dolce tepore da camino. Abbiamo mangiato come in famiglia. Personale gentile. La proprietaria (di cui mi scuso ma ho dimenticato il nome) una signora gentilissima e disponibile per un'amabile chiacchierata. Resterà in noi un ottimo ricordo come sempre.
