A bit quiet when we arrived - we had a really friendly waiter and the food was okay - confused when it all had horse on the menu but then realised that horse was a delicacy in Sicily

The location is beautiful, but it's a shame about the service and the food. You can feel the tiredness of the staff... excessive slowness, both in the kitchen and in the dining room. Tables that no one cleared, and plates that came out of the kitchen one at a time... things ordered that never arrived... in short, there's work to be done. The prices are low but ultimately nothing special... pasta overcooked, meatballs that didn't hold together, bruschetta so thin that the compote on top melted the bread and you couldn't even pick them up with your hands!!! Except for the parmigiana, which was excellent!

I must admit that before choosing Don TABARÉ, my partner and I had read the negative reviews! But we didn't believe them and were pleasantly surprised by this beautiful place! Nestled in beautiful Scicli, the atmosphere is fantastic and the service staff are super kind and patient... and then the food is wonderful!!!!

Beautiful location in Scicli! Excellent quality and variety of meatballs and bruschetta! Regarding the various poor service I read in other reviews, I'd like to commend the staff, all young and eager. And above all, never a word out of place about rude customers who wanted everything right away! For tourists, it's a must! And remember, it's not a fast food restaurant!!! Well done!

Lovely place with excellent food and generous portions. Impeccable service; the owner introduced us to all the dishes and gave us excellent recommendations. The caponata and parmigiana were excellent appetizers (both generous), and the meatballs (...meatloaf, given their size) were delicious! Must try!

06/04/2025: Agriturismo molto bello che offre prodotti tipici di produzione propria. Sono venuta in vacanza a Ragusa con delle amiche e tra le nostre tappe abbiamo deciso di inserire questo agriturismo per la cena. Antipasto misto con treccia di bufala e salumi (era un po’ scarso l’antipasto) molto buono e di primo abbiamo mangiato carne di bufala. Ecco la carne è stato un peccato perché era un po’ gommosa, nonostante ciò esperienza positiva. Ah non andate vi senza aver assaggiato un cannolo!
05/03/2025: ....e meno male che tutti gli altri erano chiusi! E' stata un po la nostra 3 scelta poiché, essendo in un periodo "morto", molti locali erano chiusi. Ottima scelta! Abbiamo mangiato carne e formaggi di bufala senza fine....cannoli fino a scoppiare! tutto perfetto e a prezzo più che onesto!

02/10/2025: We found this place by chance while wandering around Modica. Inside there are just a few tables, with more seating in an outdoor passage. On the shelves you can find publications about the owners and their philosophy. They promise to serve traditional dishes with their own signature twist. The menu is accessed via a QR code. It’s short but interesting. We tried the caponata and the octopus on a potato bed. Both were delicious, although the potatoes were served a little too cold. For mains, we ordered carbonara and carbonara di tonno. The carbonara was slightly too dry, as if the proportion of pasta to sauce wasn’t quite right. My husband enjoyed the crispy tuna in his carbonara. Overall, it was a pleasant meal, though the price-to-quality ratio and portion sizes felt a bit on the expensive side.
07/09/2025: Quiet and away from the crowds. Excellent food, and the pasta alla norma is HIGHLY recommended!
