Don Tabaré In Scicli

What a beautiful spot to dine! Don Tabare is tucked away on a side street with a lovely courtyard filled with elevated tables and lit up umbrellas. Service was excellent - helpful and professional, guiding us through some of the must have dishes and we were not steered wrong. The food was inventive and delicious - the four of us shared multiple dishes of arancini, parmesan canollo, pastas, fish of the day and octopus. Each one executed perfectly. We also enjoyed browsing the wine shop inside the restaurant as well as tasting several different amaros for a digestive, post our delicious feast! We would highly recommend Don Tabare and thanks to the Don Tabare staff for a fabulous experience!

A real discovery, high quality products treated with great respect for the raw material. The cannoli with parmesan and the boiled meat are excellent! Very nice and friendly staff, I will definitely come back

We had dinner here after a day between Ragusa and Modica. The director is very welcoming and knowledgeable. We ate a platter with very good cold cuts and cheeses and a delicious first course. Wide selection of local wines and beers. Very nice and particular place (personally I would recommend softer lights for the interior). We had a great time!

Really excellent dinner, one of the best in Sicily! We will remember the aubergine cannoli for a long time! Fair prices, absolutely recommended.

Elegance and dishes revisited with skill. I advise

We had dinner in August 2023 and I must say that the menu contains quite typical particular dishes, all very good, the environment is very very nice and the waiters are very helpful with fast service. We chose this place because compared to the offers in the city of Scicli it had honest prices. In fact, the former are around €13 and the latter are under €20. However, what ruined our dinner, and is the reason why we give it three stars, is that we had two glasses of wine, normal not abundant, paid €7 each!! we took two more glasses of wine precisely because the dinner was going on (we didn't see the price of the glass of wine on the menu) and in the end we paid 28 euros for four glasses of wine, 50% of the cost of the food. It doesn't seem right to me to take advantage of it like this, put a low-price menu and then get it on wines and desserts.

Very disappointing experience in its entirety. The terrace and the place form a very pleasant and cozy atmosphere, out of sight. Very good cocktails, dishes ok but not incredible, quite expensive overall. Big problems with the service: the owner had a casual attitude, gave us no advice on wine (even though the interior of the restaurant is dedicated to the sale of bottles...), in short no hospitality. We would have liked to spend this 100€ elsewhere!

Contenti di questa scelta, dopo un giro di locali ci siam fermati qui e devo dire che ha soddisfatto le nostre aspettative, cucina semplice ma raffinata con materie prime di qualità. La cosa che ho più apprezzato è stato il menù diverso dai soliti per turisti. Personale molto gentile, e location davvero carina oltre al fatto che tutta Scicli mi è piaciuta parecchio. Consigliato

Very nice place in a small square and very good dishes, even if the gnocchi lack that little extra push to make them delicious. I also recommend the Picanha steak, but adding a small side dish to the dish to make it more scenic, like the rest of the second courses. Very helpful and fast service even if, at a certain point, as there were a few more seats, they slowed down a bit. It was also a shame not to have tried the octopus arancini because, if I understand correctly, they are only available as an aperitif. A tip, add them for dinner too.

Great discovery! We feasted. The cuisine is sought after... Sicilian cuisine revisited with finesse. The service was of very good quality. The staff was attentive and attentive. Not to be missed if you go to Scicli.
