Business lunch; good variety of menu and food combinations. For my colleagues' first courses, very good quantity and quality... for my second course I would have something to say about the "consistency" of my salmon steak and its side dish (baked potatoes). Staff always attentive and helpful.

Sono di parte: qui ho organizzato il mio pranzo di nozze nel 1992. Torno qui di tanto in tanto, alternandolo con qualche altro ristorante a me caro, per festeggiare l'anniversario del mio matrimonio. Che dire? Ogni volta che ritorno al Don Luis riesce a meravigliarmi. La cortesia del personale, la qualità dei piatti e la sensazione finale di essere stato trattato non bene, ma benissimo sono gli aspetti che più mi meravigliano. In genere, i locali, anche i migliori, tendono ad appiattirsi, Don Luis no. Gli antipasti sono sublimi (un antipasto bergamasco per me e crostatina e magatello per mia moglie) e i secondi altrettanto (io uno stupendo piatto di lumache, funghi e polenta, la mia consorte polenta e ossobuco). Non abbiamo osato affrontare il primo e il dessert, perché il giorno prima avevamo esagerato e abbiamo una certa età. Ah, il ricarico sui vini è onestissimo e sono vini di ottima qualitò: il Valpollicella Ripasso del 2017 Montresor era delizioso. Rapporto prezzo/qualità, anche per le tasche meno capienti (che saranno sempre trattate con il debito riguardo), onestissimo. Ottimo bilanciamento tra piatti di terra e di mare nel menu.
