Great meat in a traditional place

What can I say? Argentina in Milan. The staff is professional and attentive, the owners are friendly and kind. The cuisine needs no introduction; for me, between food and wine, it's the best.

The place is easily identifiable from the outside, quite large and well signposted, although located on a narrow street where parking is very difficult, even in the immediate vicinity. I did notice, however, that there is a paid parking lot not far away. As soon as you enter, you're immediately enveloped in a warm atmosphere: wooden interiors, with walls painted bright red with a spatula effect, and typical Argentinean decor. The tables are close together, and the seats, equipped with armrests, are quite comfortable. We sat down and were offered a glass of sweet and pleasant sangria. The chimichurri and homemade garlic sauce (made with olive oil) were already on the table, along with a bread tray containing croutons and small cubes of crescentine. For our appetizer, we ordered the hand-cut Patanegra, excellent in quality and flavor, followed by a memorable dish: grilled marrow served on toasted bread, intense, succulent, and wrapped in a herbaceous note of rosemary. Probably among the best I've ever tasted. I continued with an American Wagyu fillet steak, a premium quality, tasty, and tender meat, unfortunately presented in a surprisingly bland manner: four roughly chopped tomato slices placed haphazardly next to the meat, with no attention paid to the plating. My companion's dish took the same approach: a sampling of fillet steak, picanha, and entranha (Argentine meats) arranged simply on the plate, accompanied by a single yellow cherry tomato. The quality of the ingredients remains top-notch, but the presentation, devoid of any personality, doesn't do justice to the contents. The service was friendly, attentive, and very quick in managing every aspect of the meal, without ever being intrusive. Solid cuisine, authentic flavors, a refined atmosphere. A table that speaks to the flesh, but forgets the language of visual emotion.

A historic Argentine restaurant in the Porta Romana area. The menu offers classic Argentine dishes found at other restaurants (empanadas, grilled meats, etc.), with the addition of more unusual dishes (cordero patagonico). The wine list is extensive, making it difficult to choose: it's best to ask for advice. The atmosphere is very pleasant: informal yet well-maintained. Friendly staff and fast service. The price is expensive, but in line with the Argentine prices in Milan.
