Dòmo In Salerno

I stop to refresh myself. I didn't eat. It was great to watch the food being prepared for a moment. Really fast! The atmosphere was so warm, like the air. Their outdoor space was full.

Good wine, good cheese, and very warm welcome from the staff. They know the local producers and their advice was excellent. I recommend going there!

I went there for dinner, they have lots of choices and owww my god everything was delicious, wine was perfect, really enjoyed.

Love this place! Very authentic and good wine, great bruschetta’s. Nice outdoor sitting.

The wine and snacks were excellent. People around us on the veranda were smoking, which is legal, but I personally found it upsetting.

When I pass through Salerno, I always go to Duomo. I don't drink wine, but my friends are always excited to try a new label and drink it under the Salerno Cathedral. I go there for the crostini. The pear and gorgonzola one is excellent. The finocchiona is special, and the pecorino cheeses are too. Prices are medium/high, if you want quality..., but the staff, the location, and the food justify it. Worth trying again and again.

This place in the center of Salerno is unmissable. Take advice from Francesco, the owner, a true Tuscan. He always offers new wines. It's located under the bell tower of Salerno Cathedral. You can't miss it! Definitely worth returning to.

I've visited this place several times... From 2016 until today... The location is perfect, right next to the cathedral; you can't get any better! From the first visits where you sat on the steps to now where they have set up tables, it's excellent! The food is quite good, but the pickled vegetables and mortadella are worth a look... Since you're a local, you can find better. Providing some cutlery/toothpicks to pick up the pickled food would have been a plus instead of having to use your fingers, which obviously get "soaked in oil." Mediocre. Incredible wines! Excellent selection of natural and non-natural wines! They're a wine bar, so if you're looking for excellent wine, THIS IS THE PLACE! Service is okay; they're more busy talking to each other than to the customers. Fair prices for what you get... Bottle of wine, mixed platters/cold cuts/cheese platter + pickled vegetables €60... ✓ One flaw... How is it possible that you're a wine bar and don't have a cork to give to unfinished wines on site? I "solved" the problem with the old handkerchief-in-the-cork method. A bit strange, reflecting a lack of real customer service and attention to detail. Southern Italy is appreciated precisely for this. This place is a bit lacking in this "hospitality" vibe... Overall 3.8 out of 5...

I returned to this small but interesting place about eight years after my first visit (see review of September 30, 2018) and found the same lively, friendly, and professional atmosphere with a clear Tuscan accent. Unlike its early days, the place can now take advantage of the space in front of the archbishop's palace (a nice post-Covid legacy) and enhances and highlights the Tuscan-Salerno connection to the fullest by offering interesting labels from Campania in general and Salerno in particular, as well as excellent food from the Campania Felix region, the result of careful selection and close contacts with local producers. Prices are in line with the high quality of the products used. Francesco & Friends, keep it up, don't be silly!!! 😄😄
