Osteria near the La Fenice theatre. Great location. Friendly staff. However, the place needs to be looked after more, just like the food. The service at 12 percent of the bill is not understandable.

Good food in a beautiful square, which is saying a lot compared to many tourist restaurants in Venice. Most important, they offer gluten-free and vegetarian options, including two types of gluten-free pasta: spaghetti and fusilli. I had a nice pasta plate with ricotta, parmesan, and spinach, and my wife had pasta al norma. Yes, the wait staff can be a little pushy if you don't order enough, but it was not much of an issue for us. Speak Italian and they will treat you kindly.

Was trying hard to get good value for money and this was decent, with great and personable service. 50 euro for two pastas and bruschette, all delicious as our first pastas in this Italy trip! Service charge was 5% so just left a small tip.

We approached other restaurants nearby as my Wife is vegetarian and asked if they would make a Mushroom Risotto for two. They all refused but the wonderful waiter at the Osteria immediately said it wouldn't be a problem. We ate outside, with lovely wine and a Limoncello to end. Menu was so appealing to us over the other restaurants nearby that we went again another night. Lovely food, wine and staff.

08/12/2024: Five years ago I gave and then confirmed the maximum score but today I have to change my mind. In particular, the service leaves me perplexed. I asked if the hot chocolate was gluten-free and neither of the two sales assistants serving at the counter knew. But what was worse was the annoyed attitude of the second one to whom I suggested that perhaps it was enough to read the ingredients and this was perhaps costing her too much effort. I know it's gone. A place that doesn't know the product it sells is a very poor quality place in my opinion.
08/11/2024: Pastry shop with over thirty years of activity which has recently moved slightly to expand and offer customers a new and very well-kept space with some tables also outdoors. Good pastries now there are also shortcrust pastry S. Martini!
