Dhabbu L'Asiatico In Brescia

Sono stata ospite da Dhabbu in diverse occasioni e sempre per cena: con amici, in coppia, in famiglia ... non c'è mai e ripeto mai una volta in cui io sia uscita delusa da questo posto fantastico ... Ho apprezzato di più le occasioni primaverili ed estive in cui ho cenato all'esterno (anche se la strada è sempre un po' trafficata e rumorosa) ma questo è un gusto mio personale. L'interno del locale nonostante non sia grandissimo è molto curato, illuminato al punto giusto e sempre pulito e in ordine. L'atmosfera è rilassante, perfetta per stare in compagnia e in relax dopo una giornata di lavoro intenso ed il servizio sempre da 5 stelle. Mi piace come i camerieri ti aiutano nella scelta dei piatti, descrivendoli nei particolari ed aiutandoti con onestà (cosa non da poco nel servizio della ristorazione attuale). Ma la quota extra lusso per me è il cibo ... tutto è di qualità: le ottime e fresche materie prime, gli abbinamenti inusuali e gradevoli, i sapori forti ma ben attenuati dagli accostamenti. Ad ogni cambio menù mi piace tornare per gustare i piatti novità ed uscirne sempre soddisfatta! Non andate con la convinzione di trovare un ristorante thai tradizionale, una cucina indiana tradizionale o una gastronomia etnica tradizionale e neppure se pensate di trovare un qualcosa di "per forza" definito o nei classici schemi culinari. Non mi sento di dovere trovare una classificazione o una descrizione per questo super Dhabbu ... non è etnico per forza, non è chic per forza, non è insomma classificabile ... è solo da provare almeno una volta per non pentirsene! Il prezzo del cibo è di fascia medio alta, quello del bere (soprattutto le birre) è forse più di fascia alta. Il mio consiglio è di non ordinare troppi piatti subito poichè le porzioni sono abbondanti ed alle volte per riuscire a finire tutto ci si abbuffa rovinandosi il gusto, meglio adottare la tecnica della condivisione e del gustarsi con la dovuta calma ogni sapore. Se siete amanti dei gusti decisi e delle nuove esperienze io ve lo consiglio con tutto il cuore!!!!

The food here is excellent. The foods we took marked as "spicy" are slightly so so they can appeal to all tastes. I highly recommend the Katzu curry and the Mount Fuji dessert, the ravioli in broth and the ribs were also very good. The room is well furnished, clean and quiet, with low lights but not dark. The girls who work there are all lovely. The prices are also top because with noodles or soups at 13/14 plus an appetizer you will leave more than full. It is in the center so it is difficult to park but in the evening it is free on the blue lines, or the Randaccio car park is a stone's throw away

Excellent ravioli, edible pad Thai, the noise in the place gives you a headache.

Nice restaurant, with a welcoming and refined atmosphere. The starters were excellent (we tried the ravioli and the bao) and the pad thai. Definitely worth trying to taste new flavors

East meets West in this fusion restaurant in the heart of the Carmine district of Brescia. The flavors are refined and complex, balanced with spices and vegetables, with a hint of spiciness here and there. The only sore point was the service, a little inattentive and I dare say disorganised. Maybe we found the evening bad, it can happen. In order, here are the dishes tasted: Stir-fried rice noodles with vegetables, coriander, eggs, chilli oil, lime and cashews. Prawn broth soup with udon, tom yam, prawns, ginger syrup, mushrooms and bean sprouts Ravioli stuffed with Peking duck, cooked on the grill Ravioli stuffed with pork, leek and apple, with flavored pork broth, packchoy and roasted cherry tomatoes Spring rolls with vegetables and spicy sweet and sour sauce Low temperature cooked pork ribs glazed with chaar siu sauce Chicken pieces marinated, fried and spiced with mayo

I have been a huge fan of Dhabbu cuisine for some time. Months ago, after the change of management, an employee during the digestive service (among which I had asked for a limoncello), replied to me: "You can only ask for a limoncello without being ashamed in a 90s pizzeria". Verbatim words. Then he served me some sake in a dirty glass. I hope they fired him. That said, excellent food, but I won't go back again.

In terms of service, Dhabbu is certainly a very good restaurant: punctual and friendly from start to finish. In particular, I found the ginger bitters offered at the end of the dinner more than appreciable. In terms of food, however, it was reasonable to expect a little more: I saw little substance in both quality and quantity. What was substantial was the price more than anything else. Pass for the appetizer of chicken skewers in teriyaki sauce at €8 (it wasn't bad), but charge €14 for the Pad Thai, i.e. a simple plate of spaghetti with tofu, eggs, spices and lime, without particular flavor and above all in a small quantity it seemed really too much to me. The cover charge was €2 if I'm not mistaken and the water was €3. In the end, the two of us spent €54-55, a bit excessive compared to what we ate. Since the service works well, all that remains is to work on the kitchen.

In generale soddisfatto, street food e bao da condividere sono fantastici e ad un giusto prezzo. Giudizio in sospeso per il pane naan, buono ma forse un po' pesante, e per i suoi contorni, buoni ma cari in relazione alla quantità. Il "primo" piatto è risultato abbondante ma forse appesantito dal troppo condimento. Fuori luogo l'acqua filtrata a 3€ alla brocca. Personale gentile e disponibile.
