13/07/2024: I'm sorry to have to abandon my favorite pizzeria of the last two or three years.
I have recommended this pizzeria to a myriad of people and have always been thanked.
Unfortunately I don't understand the reason, maybe a change of staff or something else, but the quality has really dropped in my opinion.
I didn't just have one bad experience, I went most weeks so I can say that the unwelcome experiences happened on the last handful of occasions, which is why I ruled it out that it could be a problem of that single day. Something is changed.
The round pizza with high edges has become uneven, with high, soft edges on one side and low, crunchy edges on the other.
Tomato in the center that becomes dry and almost non-existent near the edges.
Fried Montanarine arrived very cold at the table, cold frying was unforgivable. I think all this is more a problem of "hands" than of the quality of the product, which remains excellent.
But what's really wrong, and here we're talking about products, is mortadella.
I tried it several times on pizzas, on montanarine, and nothing. I don't want to question the quality of the product, I don't know if it's poorly kept, near heat sources, I don't know, but that mortadella has an old taste, as if it were almost spoiled. I asked and was recommended freshness, but in any case it remains the only mortadella in this city that is "inedible" for my perhaps too sensitive palate.
I would be hypocritical to give less than 3 stars, it is still an excellent pizzeria, but I am a regular customer who would have given even 6 stars if there had been the possibility, and who will now change his habits.
09/07/2024: Not a wow place, but good food and good service. Actually it was 4.5.
It's a pity that the menu is in Italian, but they explain everything in English.
