Five stars for the authentic, home-cooked food made with simple ingredients, crafted with experience and a lot of love, courtesy of Emilia, the tireless owner of this historic restaurant in the heart of Balon. The service is sometimes a little naive, but that's part of the local folklore and the genuineness of the staff. The ambiance is simple, and otherwise it would lose its character. You can have lunch here at a more than reasonable price, with fresh ingredients and guaranteed flavor. A special stop for an unusual aperitif with (outstanding) fried meatballs, arrosticini, and fresh chips! And I emphasize fresh, peeled and fried on the spot. Highly recommended! ❤️

Domenica per la prima volta al Super Balon, gran folla e temperatura piuttosto alta e afosa. Dopo aver girato a lungo fra le bancarelle decidiamo di fermarci in questo bar con cucina, attirati dal pienone dei tavolini esterni. Fuori c’è anche coda in attesa, così chiediamo se all’interno cì fosse posto per due: il posto c’è ed è anche rinfrescato dall’aria condizionata. Tavolini semplici da osteria, menu con poche pietanze ma attraenti. Optiamo per pansotti burro e salvia, battuta di vitello su un fondo di cipolle caramellate e friarielli, tutto ben fatto e gustoso. Sorpresa finale il rapporto qualità/prezzo, di assoluta competitività. Servizio impersonale ma piuttosto rapido nonostante l’affollamento. In relazione alla tipologia del locale, avrebbe meritato 5 punti, ma le condizioni carenti del bagno gliene fanno perdere uno.
