The place is very nice, but I don't understand the good reviews and how expensive it is. The food was average; we expected more from the restaurant, and the service was friendly but inattentive. They didn't have ice for the wine, etc. It's overrated; there are thousands of osterias and trattorias that are far superior. Plus, it's expensive for what you get. We won't be back.

Historic venue with a young, professional staff in the dining room and kitchen. Dishes that balance tradition with a touch of innovation. Courtesy and politeness reign supreme, along with good food. Well done.

I do love this restaurant. Dined here when I was last in Florence two years ago and was very impressed so it was at the top of my list when I recently returned to this beautiful city. It's very small (8-10 tables) and the food and service are simply outstanding. Since it's truffle season, I was happy to assemble three courses covered in truffles that perfumed the entire dining room. Really difficult to decide which dish was my favorite since this kitchen is so talented and creative. I was again impressed by the waitstaff. Service is formal but extremely friendly and helpful. I opted to order wine by the glass because it would be difficult to pick one wine which would match all three courses. My go to wine when I'm enjoying truffles is usually something red from the Piemonte region but the waiter suggested a lovely chardonnay from Maculan with the first course because he felt that the tannins from the red wine would mask the delicacy of my appetizer. He was spot on and I put myself in his competent hands to choose the rest of the wine I enjoyed. I'm here for a couple of months and will definitely return at least once before I make my way home.

Absolutely fantastic meal to finish off our Florence adventure. Food was incredible so many new flavours and tastes that send your pallet to another planet. Service was phenomenal, they take you on a journey explaining each course, The wine menu is more of a bible with some fantastic wines. It's expensive but so worth it, I'm in truffle heaven!!

We returned for our wedding anniversary 4 years after our last visit. This was a planned destination as we enjoyed it so much last time. Well, again it did not disappoint. The food, yes is higher price than some places but is exquisite, service is most excellent and the taste challenges your senses which is exactly what you want with this type of dining experience. Delicious, unique, fantastic. Highly recommend.

I had dinner here to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. The atmosphere is truly romantic and elegant. There are only eight very small tables in the restaurant. The staff takes care of their guests, pampering them down to the smallest detail. I personally enjoyed the dishes very much. I tried some game dishes and some with truffles. I didn't try any of the cheese selection, however. I had such a pleasant experience that I hope to return soon! I would recommend it for dinner with a partner. I recommend making a reservation given the limited seating capacity.

We had the truffle tasting menu. Compared to other restaurants we visited during our two week stay in Tuscany, we felt the food was overrated especially given the price. We had the truffle tasting menu so perhaps ordering from the menu would have been better. We were supposed we had better pasta during our travels in Umbria and did not care for the egg starter at all. The service was impeccable. Great ambiance. Amazing staff! So attentive and a joy. We would go again for a special occasion just for the service!
