With a view of the Estense Castle, we stopped to taste one of the house platters. If memory serves, it was the "Palazzo Schifanoia": Parma ham, truffle mortadella, Piacenza Coppa DOP, Ferrarese Zia PGI, and pink salami. All washed down with a quarter of wine and a mix of piadas—classic, with wine, and pumpkin. Sitting there, with the silhouette of the Castle as a backdrop and the discreet hustle and bustle of the square, time seemed to slow down, suspended between bites and sips. Almost naturally, we moved on from the platter to share a first course: tagliatelle with white ragù, ordered more out of greed than hunger. Everything was perfect. A bitter, and then we were off, ready to clock up more miles.

Very nice place with friendly staff. The food quality is more than good. I didn't like at all that, if you're a large group, you're restricted to a maximum of 4 or 5 dishes from the menu (a friend of mine had to give up what she wanted because the others had already ordered a whopping 5 different dishes) and it was only 9 pm. If the kitchen can't keep up with the menu, then streamline it, but that's really unpleasant (and honestly, I've never seen it done) and, at least personally, it doesn't make you want to return.

I celebrated my graduation here at Degusteria, and I can't say enough! I had a wonderful time: the food was excellent, from the highest-quality cured meats accompanied by gnocco fritto and piadina (traditional, with wine, and pumpkin), to the fabulous fried cappelletti.
The first courses were spectacular—cappellacci and green ravioli with crispy bacon and balsamic vinegar, truly delicious. The drinks were excellent, too.
It was a special day, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for helping make it perfect.
Highly recommended!
