A cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. The dinner was filled with traditional dishes, including the fake tripe and succulent goat meat. We drank excellent Palizzi wine and finished with a fine amaro made by Marcello. We'll definitely be back to try the lamb. Very reasonable prices.

We chose this restaurant specifically to try and sample the local products, and I'd say we hit the nail on the head! The second appetizer on the menu includes all the dishes featuring local products, such as nduja, fried flowers and cheeses, lestopitta, beans with onions and fennel, a special frittata, ricotta... basically, everything and more. Then we opted for two first courses: homemade pasta with sausage and mushrooms and with lamb sauce, both very flavorful dishes made with excellent ingredients. We finished with the traditional bergamot dessert.
The atmosphere is very unique and characteristic, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Saved as one of my favorites, also for its quality/price ratio. Highly recommended!

Authentic, family-run place. It's worth the trek up to the village, topped off with a good meal. Excellent value for money. Very good service. Very pleasant place.

Nice place. Lamb is great, pasta is good, although I expected more eggplant. Veal is unfortunately a bit rubbery.

If climbing up to Bova seems like a pointless undertaking, even if you are attracted by the view and curiosity. The stop at Al Borgo di Marcello repays the excursion: Typicality, flavor, courtesy and peace at prices that in much of Italy are now a mirage. To try again, perhaps for dinner and with a more consistent hunger.

Ristorante veramente buono a conduzione famigliare. È’ stata una esperienza molto piacevole perché il cibo era sicuramente in linea con le nostre aspettative, alte, di una cucina saporita e con piatti della piena tradizione calabrese. Il proprietario è stato molto gentile trovandoci una sistemazione per 4 persone fuori dal locale grazie ad un tavolo riparato normalmente utilizzato per aperitivi. Li abbiamo poi trovato altre 3 persone siciliane ed allora il tavolo è diventato anche un momento ulteriormente conviviale tipo la Vecchia Bettola di Firenze. Lo consiglio vivamente

Meno male che esistono ancora ristoranti/trattorie come questa, ormai introvabili nelle città, fatte di gente semplice e di una cordialità autentica, menù su carta, cibo della tradizione fatto con ottima materia prima, 25 euro a testa vino compreso.
Grazie al sig. Marcello che ci ha guidati nella scelta, grazie a Nino che ci ha accuditi.
Non se dire se è quando torneremo dalle parti di Reggio, 1.300 km non sono uno scherzo, ma se capiterà non mancheremo di tornare al Borgo di Bove.
