Superlative experience, Mrs. Viola really knows her stuff, her husband is a great chef, homemade pasta and a really successful tasting formula, we confirm the previous positive reviews and add that everything is perfect as it is, even the super glamorous tablecloths ✨

A surprise I'd like to be a surprise even for those who are going there for the first time. Reservations are highly recommended. If you're sophisticated, forget it. If you're on a diet, forget it. Mrs. Viola is a true sweetheart 💕, as are her daughter and husband in the kitchen. I'll be back.

A small trattoria in the piazza with a few outdoor tables overlooking the lake. The lady greets you with a "ciao amore" (hello, love), and calls you that all the time, much like a grandmother who can't remember all her grandchildren's names. And just like her grandmother's, the food is excellent, with a few expertly prepared dishes. Stringozzi or gnocchi smothered in mutton sauce. For main courses, roast lamb and chicken are so tender you barely need a knife. The final surprise is a tiny bill. I definitely want to return!!!

A wonderful place in a small square in Castel di Tora. Homemade first courses, giant ravioli, and gnocchi that will make you want more.

The welcome is something special. Mrs. Viola makes you feel right at home. Kindness and warmth are the first things you notice as soon as you enter this precious little place. The food is exquisite, all hand-made and made to order. The pasta is spectacular. Highly recommended.

Viola is fantastic. Angela, her daughter, is very kind. Viola makes the pasta by hand... the meat is excellent... everything is good, the prices are excellent, as is the quality of the dishes. We will definitely be back.

05/10/2025: Is 20 years enough? Quality, quantity, and a family atmosphere. Superlative views. Friendly and helpful staff. Thank you every time we come here; it's impossible not to stop by.
22/09/2025: Trattoria in the countryside, located high above Lake Scandarello - a very green and easygoing atmosphere, a quiet place for a "slow life." Fast and efficient service, friendly staff. Cool interior, pleasant outdoor tables (with a light breeze) in the shade, near the greenery. The fried coratella and zucchini were very tasty and plentiful. Excellent and plentiful homemade ravioli - with meat sauce. Tender and flavorful lamb, very good both in the fried breadcrumb version and in the grilled version. The mixed roast was a bit dry, not as good as the rest. Good bill: €69 for three for a full meal (without dessert), including wine. Fair and fair prices, considering the more than generous portions.

11/11/2025: We dined at this wonderful hamlet and restaurant two weeks ago, for two evenings. The magic and spirituality of this place made us feel wonderful, as did the welcome in this typical restaurant. The quality of the food and the abundance of the dishes were a blast from the past. A tray of cannelloni on the first night, enough for four to eat, not just two; on the second night, two trays of maltagliati and homemade fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, which again could have fed four. There were only two of us, but we finished it all. The main courses were equally plentiful and succulent. We left feeling full, satiated, and eager to visit again. ...all for €30 each. I'd say very fair considering all that goodness. Keep up the good work, we'll be back.
28/10/2025: Very informal atmosphere, very authentic dishes, and generous portions. The clientele is made up of both passing visitors and locals. Despite the crowds, the service is still very fast, and the prices are more than reasonable. It's hard to ask for more 💚 They have an outdoor area overlooking the Greccio square, perfect for those traveling with their four-legged friends. If you're passing through, perhaps on your way back from the Greccio sanctuary, this is the perfect place to stop.
