We had dinner here on December 30th. We were planning on going to the square on New Year's Eve, but given the bad weather, we changed our plans. It seemed natural to return because it feels right at home. The atmosphere is family-friendly, and the cuisine is homemade and authentic. Recommended for anyone looking for a quiet evening with good food.

It's not a particularly beautiful or charmingly decorated restaurant. We trusted the reviews and ordered the pasta alla Norma, which was really good. The mixed antipasti platter was also delicious. The fennel salad was simply chopped fennel, which was then served with oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper. In conclusion: If you want to eat pasta alla Norma, you can enjoy it here in a tasty way. I wouldn't recommend anything else.

A fantastic, authentic Sicilian restaurant. Everything is lovingly prepared by Rosanna herself, and you can taste it immediately. Honest, pure flavors without any fuss – exactly how Sicilian cuisine should be. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, like dining in someone's home. The pasta is fresh, the portions generous, and the prices very reasonable. Absolutely recommended if you want to experience authentic Sicilian food in Catania.

If you're reading this because you're looking for a good place to eat in Catania, stop looking, you've just found it. We had pasta a la norma, swordfish with caponata, homemade tiramisu, and ricotta tart. We also had the house wine. And indeed, it felt like home. Everything was perfect. The food, the kind gentleman who welcomed us, the music and Rosanna's conversation in the background. Visit this place; you certainly won't regret it.

Sorry to say that the pasta alla norma here was disappointing here compared to other preparations in Catania. The style of the dish was cool, but the larger pieces of eggplant weren't our preference and the sauce and cheese didn't stand out. The wait time is long but I don't fault them too much as it's one nonna cooking to my knowledge.
