We were there a few times when most of the restaurants were closed. Absolutely homely local Italian/Sicilian atmosphere of a simple family trattoria with cheap homemade very tasty food, the same Sicilian dishes as from your aunt/grandmother. The service almost does not speak English, but you can get along anyway. Everything delicious and for the center of Catania - surprisingly cheap! If you like a real home atmosphere, where no one plays for anything, but cooks and feeds their guests well, I definitely recommend visiting and enjoying it. You probably won't find lunch for 4 people with water and wine under 60 euros anywhere else in the center

The food is very good, the prices are not exaggerated. The waiting time was long. Despite everything, the place made a positive impression on us. You could feel the homely, local atmosphere, which was very nice. The swordfish was very good, but if someone is very hungry, they won't eat it - it's worth taking this into account and possibly choosing something to go with it. The appetizer was very tasty.

Picture this: Catania Airport is closed due to another eruption from Etna. The airport is chaos, but we manage to book a room at the wonderful Hotel Trieste. Exhausted and desperate for a good meal, we explore the local restaurants and stumble upon this gem. The owners are delightful, and the food and wine are exceptional. This place will save your soul! One critique: the menu is entirely in English, which complicates ordering. For example, instead of "Aglio e Olio," it says "pasta with oil, chili peppers, etc." Overall, a lovely place!

Delicious Norma Pasta at a good price, although it was very hot and a little air conditioning would have improved the plan.

Amazing food, the pasta is truly delicious. We also loved the Sicilian veal escalope in a lemon sauce. One of the best lemon sauces I have ever had!

Encouraged by positive opinions about the local Sicilian home cooking, we went to check out this place. And it was such a good choice that we went here again for dinner the next day. The food was very tasty, generous portions. We ate pasta, squid and swordfish. Home-made wine is also a big advantage here, because it is simply tasty :) The service is nice and helpful, willing to take care of the customer. The price is better than in places close to Via Etna. However, the quality is at a high level. We recommend visiting this place when in Catania.

Sweet local place with lots of vegetarian handmade pasta options. Would not recommend vegetarian carbonara it was like scrambled eggs. But the rest was pretty good!

Simple trattoria with very good dishes ala Mama. The waiter speaks English, so ordering is very successful 😉 Incredibly cheap and good wine dela Casa. Be sure to try Pasta Norma.
