If you find yourself stopping in Panzano, it's almost certainly because of this larger-than-life butcher shop. From the moment you approach, you'll see huge crowds gathered, observing and queuing up for a photo with the man himself.
Inside, you're free to wander, grab a toast with some lardo spread, enjoy a glass of wine, and, of course, purchase some high-quality meats. The atmosphere truly feels like a vibrant festival.
For context, Dario Cecchini was popularized by Anthony Bourdain's show, which introduced the world to the passion of this eighth-generation butcher in this small Tuscan town.

Truly an experience worth trying. The welcome with bread and lard, wine, and the invitation to sit down followed by the trumpet is truly unique, as is the place, which also offers a large shop. We opted for the meat workshop menu. Everything was delicious, especially the raw meat tartare. In order, it came: tartare, roast beef, beans, belly, shoulder with shoulder blade to be picked, and so tender a steak that I can't remember which part it was from. Dessert and coffee. Wine galore. Truly a culinary experience, as well as a Tuscan must.
