The atmosphere was wow. Dario was too.
We had a great time and the experience is totally worth 50 euros.
We will also note that we ate good meats.

Friendly commuties share meal. It’s like you go to watching show or entertaining. Food just ok but Value for what you have paid for.

An unforgettable experience for those who love meat and are not afraid to exclaim "Long live the meat!". The welcome is warm and familiar, with red wine and "Chianti butter" croutons to share with the other diners between the butcher's shop and the outdoor tables. At the sound of the trumpet of the king of Ciccia, Dario Cecchini, a true ritual of taste begins. Exceptional cuts of meat, succulent and rich in flavour, with aromas and flavors that will remain etched in the memory. An experience that absolutely deserves to be repeated!

I have seen this butcher shop / restaurant for more than 10 years on the internet and on YouTube and finally went to experienced it myself and I would go back in a second. We were seated family style in the midst of Italians to our left and right and we speak only a modicum of Italian and we had the most fun our table had the best group of people and we ended up making six new acquaintances that we have contacts for. But the biggest thing obviously is the food the butter the Chianti, the housemaid tartare, any of the cuts that came out of the oven, the roasted potatoes it was all just so good. Is a carnivore a highly recommend it to anyone that truly loves good beef and pork and enjoys being treated like family by the staff as well as the owner. Go go go, or Vai vai vai

I would say start with the positive things. Beautiful, very homely place, I thought that the road to reach it from Florence was more beautiful but this was not the case. Once you arrive you are welcomed by Dario himself who does his usual show (congratulations to him, I wonder where he still finds the strength/desire to do it), a few photos and then at the table. Relatively good meat even if you are told from the beginning that the animals are in Spain, typical Tuscan service therefore hospitality like at home and sitting all together on the large tables, almost impossible to go out without having made friends with someone random. Fixed price 50 euros with unlimited drinking (nice ignorant wine). My red flags were: the reservation (made the weeks before to get a seat, certainly not a big complaint, I can only imagine how many seats they make per week), I don't drink, let's say that I didn't leave full, on the contrary, I had to gorge myself on the oil cake at the end of the service to fill the remaining hole. In the end, everything was relatively good but the thing that left the most impression on me about the meal was the boiled potato to be basted with Chianti butter (lard), which leaves me thinking "if the best thing I ate and which left an impression on me was a vegetable with lard, what did I do for the meat?". Having said that, congratulations to them who want to maintain such high standards even after having made a splash, instead of serving meat taken from Poland at double the price (which I assure you the customers would not decrease in the slightest) and still care about traditions. Bravo!
