A Roman colleague of mine took me here because I personally want to try the restaurants where real locals go. And thank goodness! A little place in a cute little square in the historic center, delicious food, and perfect fried food. Halfway between street food and a trattoria. Highly recommended 🍟🐟🍴🍷

A must-see every time I come to Rome... A typical restaurant located in Largo Librarie, a side street of Via Giubbonari in the Campo de Fiori area... A small menu, featuring anchovies, battered vegetables, puntarelle, and, above all, battered cod fillet... A lively, authentic, and picturesque atmosphere, and on a nice evening, eating outside in the little square is a real treat! Prices around €25.00, including dessert!

This historic restaurant was my first time.
I absolutely had to order the cod fillet, and luckily I had seconds because I was hungry. The first course was overcooked, with a hard batter (it seemed like it had been fried a second time) and tasteless, while the second course was perfect, perfectly flavorful, with a light, crispy batter. I'll definitely be back and I recommend it because it's nestled in a stunning corner of Rome.
