The fried cod fillet and the puntarelle with anchovies are very good, the waiter is attentive and very kind, definitely worth trying..

The number one fish & chips of Rome which combine traditional roman 's dishes like puntarelle. The service is very fast and fun.

I was on Friday evening for dinner with two friends and we ate in the square. What can I say, superlative location in the heart of Rome, delicious cod fillets, friendly staff and honest prices. 5 stars deserved

It's a shame that the high quality of the food is inversely proportional to the friendliness and education of the owner and his daughter.
My friend and I jokingly asked for a "discount" as we were the only Romans among the other foreign customers, and the owner denied it in a not so nice way; but the height of rudeness was reached by his daughter, the cashier, who while we were paying (a bill that was anything but popular) addressed us with "you don't ask for a discount, if you can't afford it, you don't go to that restaurant".
Very bad, really.
Given that I can afford this bill and more, I want to point out that knowing how to manage a place also means knowing how to relate in a manner that is, if not friendly, at least polite and respectful with the customer.
Too bad about the cod fillets, which are excellent but this place won't see me again: thank God, other restaurateurs in Rome also know how to make them good.

During our trip to Italy, we really enjoyed visiting family-run businesses, and this wonderful place was one of them. My partner and I went there for dinner after a long day at the Vatican Museums.
At first, I wasn’t sure how the system worked, as there were people standing at the entrance waiting (it turned out they were there for takeaway). Then I saw a handsome young chap with his right arm in a cast sitting at the front of the shop, so I went up, said Buona Sera, and asked in English how things worked. He turned out to be the owner’s son and kindly got us a table for two right away.
Like usual, we had already done our homework, so we knew what was on the menu and what we wanted. The service was incredibly friendly, offered by the owner and, I guess, his brother. I just wish I could speak more Italiano so I could join in their conversation!
A lovely lady who brought our dishes kindly gave us a tip: 'Not sure if you've been told. Please feel free to dress the salad with olive oil, but don’t add more salt, as there are anchovies and it’s salty enough.' Coming from Australia, where Italian cuisine is hugely popular, we already had a good idea of what to expect, but for any newcomers, such thoughtful advice would be so helpful.
Also, in a city like Rome where prices can be quite high especially for tourists, this place stands out for being honest and truly committed to serving delicious food to its customers.
My full respect, and Grazie Mille for the wonderful dinner!

Must try local €6 snack whilst in Rome, especially if you need something to alternate from pizza and pasta.
How to order takeaway (as it’s counter intuitive):
- Tell someone you want to get a takeaway (duh)
- Line up by the main entrance
- Once the inside of the restaurant isn’t too busy, they’ll ask you to go straight to the kitchen at the back
- Tell the cook how many you want
- Once you got your food, someone at the counter will confirm the order and ask you to pay

The chicory and cod fillets are excellent. Too bad about the lack of coffee at the end of the meal. Fast and courteous service.
