Dar Bottarolo In Roma

Excellent Roman cuisine. With the all you can eat formula you have the possibility to taste different things and leave full and even more. Very kind waiters available and friendly. A truly pleasant evening

I'll tell you right away that, Dar Bottarolo Tiburtina, there is an All you can eat menu that allows you to eat ENDLESSLY! All the dishes of typical Roman cuisine at a price accessible to all; large availability of seats, but with particular attention also to tables for two. In short, if you don't try Dar Bottarolo in Rome, don't come.

Locale alla buona e senza pretese. Cibi semplici e porzioni abbondanti. Ottimi i bucatini all'amatriciana. Economico il conto. Locale adatto per trascorrere una serata in allegria con gli amici.

We went to this Roman restaurant with an all-you-can-eat formula for €25 (only paying by card; €28 in cash – a choice imposed by the restaurant which we found unwelcome). The offer also includes water and wine: the water was good, but the overall experience left us perplexed. The food, in terms of quality of the raw materials, was fine, but it was cooked a bit like this and like this: potentially good flavours, but rough execution. The obligatory appetizers included bread with tomato, fried bread with chicory, fried artichoke and a pancake presented as a courgette flower. However, we are not sure if it really was, also because the waiter spoke very uncertain Italian and it was not easy to understand each other. The starters were a little greasy, but all in all decent. We then ordered a carbonara and an amatriciana. The portions were generous, but quite salty. The amatriciana, in particular, had very little tomato and was rather dry. We had also ordered the second course, but after all that greasy and salty food, we couldn't eat it. We asked to take it away, but here too we had difficulty communicating with the waiter, who initially seemed reluctant. The atmosphere didn't help: all the lights on in broad daylight, even though the place was already well lit by natural light, and a general sense of neglect. All the staff were foreign waiters with whom it was difficult to communicate in Italian, which immediately made us a little uncomfortable. There was no soap in the bathroom and the door couldn't be locked. A shame, because with a little more attention to detail and a more refined cuisine, we could be much better off. As it is, a place that isn't good enough (6), but which we don't feel like recommending.

Located in the Tiburtina Portonaccio area, classic Roman restaurant with typical dishes.

Everything perfect, from the fried dishes to the first courses, up to the dessert. The queue was a spectacle!

We went there as a couple, because we were passing through Rome and we had the à la carte menu. Highly recommended! 🍝❤️

A very pleasant experience! I was struck by the kindness of the owner and the goodness of the house white wine!

The place is nice, but the food isn't of great quality economic

We were 18 people and I must say that we had a good time, some starters and the wine could be improved (a little worn out) but the first and second courses were really pleasant. The fast table service and the guys were very kind and friendly.
