A unique experience, a heavenly place. We'll be back.

Vacation period from September 15th to 25th, as a couple. Characteristic place, fantastic views, beautiful clean sea, crystal clear waters, few free public beaches, small but clean and tidy. Private beaches are generally overpriced, especially considering our time of year. Parking and taxi fares for short trips are also too high. Even buses cost €5 per ticket for a 2km ride. It seems excessive to me. Very narrow and winding roads with significant climbs and descents, where even with a speed limit of 30km/h, residents (knowing the roads well) drive full blast, resulting in high risks on the curves, most of the time with no visibility. Also, for us, who are here in the S. Angelo area, 2km away. Getting there on foot is a challenge (especially for me, a 74-year-old who's just recently had a hip replacement) with steep inclines, and long, steep steps with steps higher than normal (like Lenten penances). Our hotel also has steps everywhere, no elevator, and it's certainly not wheelchair-accessible. So, all things considered, I don't think I'll be returning to Ischia unless I find a beachfront hotel with breakfast and dinner at a decent price that won't cost me a kidney for the stay! 🤭🙄😳😉

Beautiful island. Getting around by bus is great, be prepared to handle their opaque, confusing ticket system though.

A wonderful island...in 40 minutes you could travel from one end to the other with your personal car...dreamy views...with beautifully arranged viewpoints...a delight...

I lived on the island for 12 years. It's paradise. Now I live in Germany. I vacationed this year in Ischia. It was like I came home after two years. Everything is familiar and warm. I advise everyone to come to the island at least once. Dive into the pools and sit on the sand. The pizza is super. Try the "Ischian rabbit", drink spumante, walk in the late evenings, listen to live music. It's all there. I'll come back again and again. Hotel Floridiana spa hotel, I recommend. A volte le parole non bastano per descrivere un luogo così speciale . Magia pura tra atmosfera surreale , servizio eccellente , uniti ad una cucina stellare . I piatti sono pura poesia e soprattutto ....arte . Un luogo da vivere almeno una volta nella vita ma ....anche molte volte di più . Grazie per essere parte della nostra splendida isola . One of the best Islands in the Mediterranean Sea.

Ischia Island is perfect for a budget vacation or at least for a one-day visit. You have 2 main attractions, the Aragonese Castle and the Mortella Gardens. The castle is near the port of Ischia, you can get to it by bus, the Mortella garden is also by bus from the port, you can't see them both on the same day, start with the castle. If you choose a vacation, pay close attention to the area where you stay. The main, lively tourist area is the Ischia port area, the rest are isolated hotels that offer all the conditions for a perfect vacation, if you can just stay in the hotel by the pool, if not.... you have nothing to do for more than 2 days in Ischia. Ischia is famous for its thermal baths, but the entrance fees are expensive, over 50-60 euros/person plus what you pay there. Transportation in Ischia is by bus but it is not a safe and comfortable option, taxis are expensive, about 50 euro/trip. Some hotels also offer free transfers around the island to the main attractions. Most beaches are private, 20-30 euro/day sunbed/person.

Mancavamo al Danì Maison da 3 anni circa, che dire superlativo in tutto, con Nino di Costanzo non ti puoi abituare o aspettarti la routine, c'è sempre l'effetto del doppio "Wao" il primo quando ti presentano i piatti, il secondo molto più dirompente quando li assaggi , quello è il momento che pensi tra tè e tè come si fà a tirare fuori sapori così ? è allora è proprio in quel momento che pensi che Artista con la A Maiuscola sia lo Chef Nino di Costanzo, prendere un semplice calamaro lavorarlo, pressarlo fino ad ottenere quasi un velo 1/2 mm, cuocerlo a bassa temperatura, comporlo nel piatto e far gustare un sapore così intenso che è qualcosa di straordinario, la cucina di Nino si basa fortemente sulla tecnica, ma la vera arte stà nel saper trovare sempre la esaltazione dei sapori e il delicato equilibrio. Assaggiare il nuovo menù in un ambiente rinnovato di altissimo livello con un giardino straordinario interamente creato da zero da Nino, con una cantina anch'essa rinnovata ed ampliata contenente 2400 etichette tra nazionali internazionali e vere rarità introvabili, è veramente qualcosa di unico e indimenticabile. Nino Di Costanzo dopo aver lavorato in tutto il mondo, ha creato qualcosa che non esisteva,a casa sua, si è letteralmente cucito addosso il suo locale, lo ha fatto come voleva lui, è questo non è da tutti. Il mio plauso va a tutto lo staff del Danì Maison, i ragazzi in cucina straordinari, ed ai ragazzi in sala giovanissimi ma già con un livello di professionalità molto elevato. Infine un ringraziamento particola all'artefice che riesce a procurare emozioni veramente uniche. Grazie infinite a tè Nino per la tua immensa Arte !!!
