Ischia Island is perfect for a budget vacation or at least for a one-day visit. You have 2 main attractions, the Aragonese Castle and the Mortella Gardens. The castle is near the port of Ischia, you can get to it by bus, the Mortella garden is also by bus from the port, you can't see them both on the same day, start with the castle. If you choose a vacation, pay close attention to the area where you stay. The main, lively tourist area is the Ischia port area, the rest are isolated hotels that offer all the conditions for a perfect vacation, if you can just stay in the hotel by the pool, if not.... you have nothing to do for more than 2 days in Ischia. Ischia is famous for its thermal baths, but the entrance fees are expensive, over 50-60 euros/person plus what you pay there. Transportation in Ischia is by bus but it is not a safe and comfortable option, taxis are expensive, about 50 euro/trip. Some hotels also offer free transfers around the island to the main attractions. Most beaches are private, 20-30 euro/day sunbed/person.

A nearby island to Capri. Much less crowded but also downscale. No designer shops here. Just plain and simple. The food is still wonderful and the beaches are plentiful. Just don’t expect the “ luxury “ experience of Capri. More like Napoli comes to the beach.

Going to Sant Angelo by bus is an adventure, because you have to be seated at the start to avoid being constantly shaken. Then at the terminus take Antonio's scooter (4 seats) to reach Sant Angelo at the bottom and avoid 20 minutes of walking then 40 on the way back because the slope is steep. The place is splendid!

3 day trip, not many but I visited the main things. Get a bus ticket at the port, 11 euros for 3 days, you can go everywhere, the bus service is continuous at all times and reaches any place, you get on and off wherever you want. Luckily I was on uncrowded days, so I got around here really well. I recommend Sant'Angelo, a village to visit on foot, Aragonese castle, 12 euros entrance, MORTELLA gardens, 12 euros, Poseidon spa gardens, after 6pm, to visit, 7 euros... all magnificent!

7 Brothers

28/06/2025: ottimo locale , servizio eccellente. cibo eccezionale
22/06/2025: very nice place, super kind and professional staff, the main flaw is that they put you in great difficulty in choosing which is the best among the courses they offer, original and tasty appetizers, innovative and tasty first courses or the grilled meat of amazing quality and with truly refined proposals. wide choice of wines, even here not banal, a service that sometimes you do not find even in a starred restaurant and certainly you do not expect, attention and care that fully express the passion and dedication of the owner as well as the international experiences in high-level restaurants that are well reflected in this jewel of a restaurant. very attentive also to food intolerances. Nothing more to say except chapeau!

Due Torri

16/07/2025: My family and I are coming to this hotel for the second time, next summer we will definitely come again. A very nice family hotel, with amazing cheerful owners and staff who refuse nothing. Very comfortable territory, with a swimming pool and sun loungers that are constantly kept clean. There is a parking lot, a bus stop to Amalfi is 50 meters from the hotel. All the infrastructure in the form of shops, bus stops and other necessary utensils for a tourist is within walking distance, but despite this, the hotel is calm and quiet. On the territory there is a restaurant with a full menu, soft drinks and cocktails, the pricing policy is lower than the general in Amalfi or nearby hotels - this is a fact. Special thanks to the waiters for the service, everything is fast and clear. Do not think about the language barrier, you will certainly find a common language even without knowing English. Cleaning of the rooms is also - high praise. Everything is very thorough and attentive. Guys, we thank you for the pleasant and friendly atmosphere. See you next year. Best regards 🙌🏾🤝
15/07/2025: We had a magical dining experience at Due Torri in Agerola. From the moment we sat down, we were greeted with warm hospitality, a relaxed ambiance by the poolside, and the gentle charm of Italian summer evenings. The seafood here is absolutely divine. We started with the Antipasto di Mare – a fresh, generous platter of mussels, clams, shrimp, octopus, and more – beautifully arranged and full of flavor. The grilled seafood BBQ plate was perfectly cooked: juicy prawns, tender squid, swordfish, and grilled fillets, each bite bursting with Mediterranean goodness. The fried calamari and shrimp were crispy and golden without being oily, served with fresh lemon wedges that elevated the taste even more. We paired it all with a smooth 1L carafe of red wine, which was full-bodied and complemented the dishes wonderfully. To finish, we had creamy gelato that was the perfect ending to a rich and satisfying meal. Service was attentive and friendly, the prices were fair (our whole meal for two came to just €72), and the setting – peaceful, with the soft glow of pool lights and distant mountain air – made it feel extra special. If you’re visiting Agerola or staying nearby on the Amalfi Coast, Due Torri is a must-visit for a memorable seafood dinner. Grazie mille for a wonderful night!
