Dalla Lola In Firenze

Without a doubt one of the best meals I had in Florence. While there are numerous places to try traditional Tuscan fare like the bisteccas, Dalla Lola's take is a rare delight in a city eager to please a constant deluge of tourists. The humble Gnocchi here is served with beetroot carpaccio and a miso sauce, a trio you're unlikely to spot in a place together. The fried pork chop was juicy and succulent; the breading seasoned just right to tantalize the tastebuds by itself, and also acted as a willing sponge for the tomato sauce. Finished the meal with their coffee cake with mascarpone and it was scrumptious too. Dalla Lola's ambience is excellent too. It is tucked away in the delightful Santo Spirito neighbourhood, away from the chaos of the city center, a chilled out, relaxed atmosphere made all the more amazing by a genial and attentive staff. The owners seem like genuinely wonderful people, and the food they're dishing out pays reverence to tradition, while also daring to be different. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a lovely eating experience. Please do note that reservations help MASSIVELY, because they're only open for a couple of hours in the morning/afternoon and the evening.

Small but well kept place, tables not too spacious. There were three of us, we took 3 gnocchi with miso, then a French tongue, a fried chop and a roast potato. Very tasty gnocchi like the tongue, a dish you don't expect. The chop and potatoes were also good. We took 3 desserts, two cazzomanaggia and a panna cotta. The desserts were also excellent. Superb address close to Piazza Santo Spirito. Typical dishes but revisited with top service! We would have liked more generous portions on all dishes :)

Dalla Lola. It is a unique restaurant located near Peter's Palace. Personally, I felt like the food made with minced meat fried inside a small pasta dough was closer to a snack than a meal (it wasn't my taste). It has a salty taste and is served with mayonnaise sauce. It seems to go better with beer than wine. We ordered beef tongue (beef tongue) simmered for a long time with onions and various spices. This menu is also one of Florence's representative menus. It comes out a little like folded pork. (It tastes even better if you add some pepper.) The meat is soft because it is boiled for a long time, and it goes well with a glass of red wine after serving it on bread. For Dolce, I ordered half of the cheesecake and half of the black sesame chocolate cake. (You can order half of the cake.) Wow, this is a real thing. I don't have a huge preference for sweets, but the rich, thick taste of both cakes overwhelms my blood vessels. Cheesecake tastes like creamy cheese with a bit of sugar or honey, while black sesame chocolate cake has a slightly bitter and savory dark chocolate taste. Both have different charms, but in the end, both are delicious. Ah, if you look at the restaurant's menu, there is something unusual. Oriental elements were added. I like the open attitude that is not tied to Italian tradition, such as dishes using Japanese miso or Thai sauce. The staff are friendly. Each food menu is explained in detail in English. In particular, female employees have beautiful smiles that make people feel good. Food-flavored lip balm made by a female employee is also being sold, so if you are interested, please purchase it. hands down the best restaurant we’ve eaten at during our 14 days in italy. food is SO good. innovative and unique for a great price, so delicious that my friends and i immediately booked a second dinner there for the next day haha we tried almost all their primi and secondi options from the two days and loved everything! the pastas we had were also fantastic. menu changed a bit everyday which was exciting! (personal favourite: the liver with onions). great atmosphere and the best service. great negroni + handmade cheesecake as well! such a hidden gem, wish i didn’t live halfway across the world from it so i could go again. couldn’t recommend enough

The miso gnocchi and the cheesecake are to DIE for. Great atmosphere and service! One of the best places I went to during my time in Italy ♥️ Will come back
