A unique experience amidst the narrow streets of Palermo. Delicious food for socializing.

The food is excellent, and it gets very crowded during peak hours, but they clear the line at breakneck speed. They're very kind and will find you a seat even if it's packed.

Fantastic! We spent an eight-day, mostly food-focused vacation in Palermo. We tried tons of places to eat, and this rotisserie with outdoor seating was one of the very few places we felt the need to return to. Simple, traditional dishes expertly executed, the staff were friendly and welcoming... incredible value!

Dainotti's da Arianna is located in the heart of Palermo's historic Mercato del Capo.
Let me start by saying that we came here on a Sunday for lunch and arrived right at rush hour.
To secure a table, we left our names, and after about 15-20 minutes, we were seated. While you wait, I recommend queuing inside to order your food (the wait here, too, won't be short).
Once you've placed your order at the cash register, if you order meat dishes, you'll have to wait in another line to hand your ticket to the guys grilling outside. If you're a group of several people, it might be best to split up to save time.

It's true that we're in a market, and it's true that we have to take things philosophically, but I stood in a very long and particularly chaotic line where it was unclear where some of the people were coming from. Finding and getting a table was a real feat. During the line, a brand new tray of baked rings came out, but within a couple of minutes it was sold out (perhaps because it sold before it was available? We'll never know). The fact is that in this chaos, two girls behind me were served before me. The rings were sold out, and I had to make do with what was available (a couple of arancini, some panella, and some very vinegary caponata!), the owner herself was not at all friendly, and the final bill was rather high (there are no prices displayed, so it's hard to tell the portions). In the end, I, who really wanted to make this stop, say it wasn't worth the wait. Maybe I was unlucky, maybe I needed to be more aggressive, I don't know, I just know that it was quite frustrating to come back to the table after a long time with just two things that then left us hungry.

Went for lunch on a sunday. Very long queue but worth the wait about 10 min wait. Very nice arancine and we also tried artichoke and pepers and the spleen sandwich. Great price and very helpful staff.Would definitely recomend to make it part of your visit. Typical sicilian food.
