Da Vito In Bologna

I'm leaving my review to help them reach 5,000. They deserve it! They're the best restaurant in eastern Bologna. And I know, you shouldn't trust me because I eat at McDonald's, but that's precisely why I'm saying this: everyone likes Vito. From those seeking a Michelin star to scoundrels like me.

Traveling to Bologna...a historic restaurant, a bit far from the center but worth a visit. We ate excellent typical Bolognese food. ❤️I appreciated the book with all the photos of the singers who used to come here, like Lucio Dalla. Very kind staff. Thank you, in my memories.

A unique place that exudes Bolognese style, where you can eat simple but very good dishes at a fair price.

Very nice service and food! A typical family restaurant that could be a little more cozy to be honest but the food is divine and the service is quick and very friendly. Usually few tourists but packed with Italian families/ groups or couples on a night out. I ate there twice months apart.

We ate very well. Vito says it all.

Amazing restaurant with really good food filled with just locals. Their Taglietelle Al Ragu was amazing and let’s not even talk about the Coteletta alla Bolognese that look wise doesn’t seem appealing but tastes amazing. The staff was extremely welcoming and we shared a few laughs with them. Overall this iconic institution is worth the try, that was adviced by our hotel concierge

Authentic, busy with locals so must be good. Food was ok, the wine really cheap and decent (no choice, white, red or sparkling!). Waiter a bit grumpy, bit it added to the experience!

Dopo 10 lunghissimi anni eccomi di nuovo da Vito. Alcune cose sono cambiate ma l'atmosfera è sempre la stessa. I tavoli ravvicinati rendono le persone cordiali più socievoli e quelle schive sempre più riservate. Se non si viene in orari da vecchietti, tipo le 19:30, è meglio prenotare. Il cibo è secondario, si viene per la convivialità e qualche bicchiere. Il rosso è da pasto e non molto "ruffiano", potrebbe essere più amabile. Le verudre saltate in padella sono di stagione e le patate arrosto adeguate. I secondi di carne sono teneri, la cotoletta alla bolognese è sufficiente e quella alla milanese è la stessa senza panna e prosciutto (buono anche se un po' salato). Anche la braciola di vitello è tenera. Il personale è attento e rapido nel servire. Il signore hippie alla cassa è amabile e simpatico.

Da Vito è un locale storico bolognese, entri e ti vedi le foto degli anni '70 con Vito, Dalla e Guccini; credere che tutto sia come 50 anni fa, è impensabile !!! Saranno cambiati i proprietari, Vito sicuramente è morto, Lucio Dalla pure... Forza Francesco ... resisti !!! il menù è abbastanza vario, con i tradizionali piatti emiliani, abbiamo preso tre primi tagliatelle al sugo, tortellini al sugo e tortelloni: ora per 10 euro a piatto va bene, buoni, abbondanti e saporiti. Per secondo costata 15 euro (saporita, bella e grande), Stinco 10 euro (tanta roba, buono) e spezzatino con piselli 10 euro (mi ha convinto poco) ... niente contorni. Poi dolci: tirami su e zuppa inglese: ottimi, li consiglio! Servizio : che volete, c'è sempre un gran casino, con quello che ne consegue... ma i tempi di attesa sono nella norma e ragionevoli: non c'è niente da dire. Il personale (a parte la ragazza con gli occhiali, bionda, simpatica, gentile e carina) gli altri so' stanchi, sfavati, ma son coreografici, e fanno parte integrale dell'ambiente: personaggi, se non ci fossero sarebbero da inventare! chiaramente meglio prenotare e ARRIVARE PUNTUALI ... se no azzzz.... ci troverete tanti turisti e pochi avventori locali, sentirete parlare inglese, cinese, serbo-bosniaco, albanese, calabbrese, siculo e pugliese !!! oltre al napoletano ! clima interetnico, suggestivo ... il conto soddisfacente ...circa 30 euro a testa... ma nel complesso lo consiglio ... da provare, senza se, senza ma... buon appetito a tutti !!!
