Very good place, the kitchen is quick to prepare decent dishes and the service with us was attentive and punctual. For a trattoria in the city of Bologna the bill is honest. I would stay here again

Small, characteristic and rustic. Perfect for what it is...a simple trattoria, fast food and affordable prices. The environment and the walls full of old photos, dedications and writings are also beautiful. Reservation is highly recommended...otherwise you won't enter! Always packed!!! Prices appropriate to the quality. Entrance at Scalini therefore not suitable for disabled people or wheelchairs.

On a trip to Bologna, we decided to have lunch in this restaurant. We had a very good time, friendly staff, typical dishes of Bolognese cuisine, very good. The only thing we would have liked was the dishes being a little hotter. Other than that, really highly recommended!

Una trattoria tipica di Bologna, incantevole, che offre piatti gustosi e ricchi di sapore. La lasagna e i tortellini in brodo sono semplicemente eccellenti, senza dimenticare lo stinco, davvero irresistibile. Un'esperienza culinaria top!

Sulla rapidità del servizio nulla da dire, peccato che un cameriere fosse frettoloso e coercitivo nei confronti delle comande da prendere. Sui prezzi ok, sul cibo purtroppo sono rimasto molto deluso. Le potenzialità ci sono e, a parte quel cameriere, il resto del personale si é dimostrato gentile e disponibile

Trattoria Meloncello

12/01/2025: We had lunch on Sunday in this ancient Bolognese trattoria, at the foot of the walk towards the Sanctuary of San Luca. The restaurant therefore has a notable positioning and the environment is suggestive, typical of ancient trattorias. Precisely for this reason I allow myself to give 2 passionate suggestions that would make the place much more appreciated: 1) put a double door: perhaps you give up a couple of tables and introduce a modernity but you avoid letting the cold in 2) 5 euros 2 coffees is perhaps excessive: I would suggest lowering the prices because we are still in a trattoria. For the rest, nice atmosphere, excellent dessert, trifle, and very good first course, tagliatella with meat sauce.
06/01/2025: Love this restaurant and am planning my 3rd visit this spring - on checking the reviews I was shocked to see a 1* review 'how could that be' I thought. Then reading it I see that the poster apparently thought she was in a coffee shop and gave them 1* because they are not a coffee shop. Talk about entitled!! I will be back and I hope with another 5* review in the near future.
