Ballaro', how beautiful, the atmosphere was fantastic, and within 5 minutes you were at home. Giovanna, Aldo, and everyone else were there, it was a fantastic atmosphere.
And the food? A delight, the sardines a beccafico, the grilled octopus, the peperonata... everything was fantastic.

Palermo at its finest.
Very tasty. This tratotia is street food, not a fancy restaurant. Cool atmosphere, shouting, screaming, and calling out. For me, it's the perfect southern vibe. This is what I expected from Palermo.
You can walk up to it and point at what you want to eat, so neither Italian nor English is necessary. Just your finger is enough ;)
The portion sizes are typical of the "plate" concept, so for two people we ordered four "courses." We also ordered two beers and paid a reasonable €42. The coperto was included, so you don't have to worry about the tip ;) another plus.
I really recommend this place.

A week ago I had the pleasure of taking some of my friends to visit the city of Palermo and to eat something obviously stopped at the Ballarò market, there we were picked up by the waiters who made us sit, really kind and easy-going like us Sicilians, I received a very good service but above all a lot of friendliness, for the food I was satisfied because I had the pleasure of letting my friends taste our traditions which they also appreciated very much, very good price and also coffee offered, thank you so much guys for the work you do every special day in the scorching heat of summer

We stopped by while we toured the market. As soon as we entered, they welcomed us, so we went around and came back for lunch because they were the ones who inspired us the most, if not the nicest. We had the arancini, ragù, and ham and cheese; grilled and stuffed calamari; 4 spritzes, and we had a really great time. I highly recommend them.

Friendly and kind people.
Lots of typical Palermo food. The arancini are excellent.

Our first meal in Palermo, we were really hungry after a long journey and early start so the spread of ready to eat foods looked very appealing. It’s not always easy to know where one restaurant ends and the other begins, but were we’re sat down and served very politely and quickly. Drinks arrived within less than a minute and the food not long after. The freshly cooked and well prepared pasta was the highlight as well as the caponata, which is perfect at room temperature. We also ate the arancina which were warm but not freshly fried. Amazing atmosphere and €30 for a substantial lunch for two Inc cover charge.

It's a good thing we didn't check the reviews before eating 😁
We went with the flow...
Shrimp, grilled calamari, and spaghetti con vongole... very good 😋
The grillo il salinaro wine complemented the flavor.
I don't know, maybe we looked our age because the portions were okay.
