I've been going to this restaurant at least twice a year for about 15 years. During every camper trip, we make every effort to include "da Ugo" in
our itinerary. The food is excellent, as is
the service and the location.
Stefano is very friendly and welcoming. We'll be back in a few days.

Excellent food, as Tuscan tradition demands.
Everything is handmade: homemade and authentic.
The prices are fair, because the quantities are generous and the quality of the ingredients is excellent.
The service is always friendly and attentive.
The restaurant is intimate, and every window offers breathtaking views of the sea, the pine forest, and the vineyards surrounding Castagneto.
The restaurant is highly regarded by both locals, like me, who know they'll eat well here, and by tourists who want to immerse themselves in Tuscan culinary tradition.

If you come to Castagneto Carducci, you can't miss this restaurant (open since 1973). Not only did we visit, but we'll be back. During our week-long vacation in Castagneto, we tried several restaurants, but this is the only one we'll return to. You can immediately see the professionalism, the excellent ingredients, and the mastery in preparing the dishes. HIGHLIGHTS!

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so. I feel more at home at Da Ugo than anywhere else. People like Stefano are incredibly rare, I mean, I'm honest. The cuisine is traditional Tuscan, and a special mention goes to the wild boar's head, which the kitchen staff prepares with such love. If there's one restaurant you absolutely must go to and always return to, it's definitely this one. I'm giving it 5 stars only because I can't give more. THANK YOU STEFANO.

We dined for four nights in four different restaurants in Castagneto Carducci. We always ate well while spending differently. On the fifth and last night of our stay in the area we returned to one of the four: Ristorante da Ugo in the center of Castagneto Carducci, which confirmed itself for the quality of the food, for the attention of the waiting staff, for the speed of service, at a fair cost. A necessary stop for those who come to these parts.

Cercavamo qualcosa di nn turistico per assaporare la vera Toscana! L’ abbiamo trovato! La vista offre dei tramonti mozzafiato, accompagnata da un’ottima cucina, ottimi vini e una signorile e professionale presenza del personale e del proprietario! Merita tutte le stelle e anche oltre!
