We dined for four nights in four different restaurants in Castagneto Carducci. We always ate well while spending differently. On the fifth and last night of our stay in the area we returned to one of the four: Ristorante da Ugo in the center of Castagneto Carducci, which confirmed itself for the quality of the food, for the attention of the waiting staff, for the speed of service, at a fair cost. A necessary stop for those who come to these parts.

Spectacular view of the Bolgheri plain, exquisite dishes of the best Maremma tradition (wild boar, rabbit, wood pigeon, but also baked fish, fried food and excellent linguine with cuttlefish ink!), a wide selection of wines and a warm and familiar atmosphere. For me, it has been the best for many years and it never disappoints!

The best restaurant in Castagneto Carducci....no ifs or buts! Wide selection of traditional Tuscan dishes washed down with the best wines in the area...panoramic setting, excellent mise en place and exemplary service...very good

Cercavamo qualcosa di nn turistico per assaporare la vera Toscana! L’ abbiamo trovato! La vista offre dei tramonti mozzafiato, accompagnata da un’ottima cucina, ottimi vini e una signorile e professionale presenza del personale e del proprietario! Merita tutte le stelle e anche oltre! Anche il conto è adeguato alla fantastica cena! Grazie!

We were looking for something non-touristy to savor the real Tuscany! We found it! The view offers breathtaking sunsets, accompanied by excellent cuisine, excellent wines and an elegant and professional presence of the staff and owner! It deserves all the stars and more! The bill is also adequate for the fantastic dinner! Thank you!

Siamo stati a pranzo in questo ristorante, in cui abbiamo mangiato benissimo, seguiti con grande cortesia e simpatia dal proprietario. Abbiamo preso tagliatelle al colombaccio, una Fiorentina fa 1,5 Kg ed un ottimo minestrone. Un ristorante tipico "toscano" con una vista mare meravigliosa. Ottima esperienza.

Pizzeria Mum and Dad

01/07/2025: The food was delicious, we had a seafood salad, risotto and pizza. Everything was amazing. The staff was very nice, almost all the tables were occupied, many people booked their seats in advance. We managed to get there without a reservation 🙂
29/06/2025: Excellent restaurant: reservations are required even outside of high season... excellent spaghetti with clams, if you intend to take tea and cacciucco (which I highly recommend) be careful because the quantity is really important..!
