We ended up having dinner, almost by chance, with friends to celebrate Christmas, and we rediscovered the "Tunon" of yesteryear. A historic restaurant, well-known in the province since the 1970s, it has always promoted traditional Piedmontese cuisine, embracing the culinary trends of the last 50 years through their ups and downs.
Now we find ourselves appreciating traditional cuisine expertly revisited, creating flavorful yet delicate dishes made with quality ingredients combined with meticulous attention to plating.
The restaurant has remained as up-to-date as ever, well-kept and clean. Service is prompt, friendly, and helpful. Convenient parking nearby.
Recommended for an excellent Piedmontese lunch or dinner, featuring agnolotti, tagliolini, and gnocchi drowned in mushrooms, stew, or Castelmagno cheese, after enjoying appetizers like veal with tuna sauce, Russian salad, and minced meat... the main courses and desserts are unmissable!!!

We ended up at the restaurant on a recommendation, and I have to say the experience was truly excellent.
We had traditional dishes, and they were all delicious; the bagna causa and chickpea soup were on another level. The service was pleasant, the only flaw being the decor: the 1980s style seemed like something out of the past. However, the restaurant experience was truly excellent. We haven't tried the rooms.

We were initially hesitant, considering that hotel restaurants rarely stand out for their quality food—and that the dining room is very simply furnished and a bit dated (the large dining room is prettier, but they let us sit in the smaller one because there were very few people and there were only three of us).
The very kind lady served us a generous and delicious bagna cauda, truly delicious! The vegetables were exceptional and the sauce delicious.
The chickpea soup was also creamy and flavorful. Everything was truly excellent and homemade, made by them with quality ingredients.
Kindness and tradition are at the heart of the place.
Recommended!

As for location, it's in the center of town, which we didn't have a chance to visit (because it was evening), but from our accommodation it was close and convenient.
A good location for visiting Monferrato.

I discovered this restaurant almost three years ago when I was working in Monferrato, and I've been going there regularly ever since, partly because the menu changes almost weekly depending on the season, with special dishes and evenings. The B&B is very welcoming and quiet, and it's a pleasure to come down and enjoy their superb breakfasts. Excellent value for money, and above all, the hospitality. After all, 90 years of family-run business is something you can't make up.

Highly recommended if you're looking for authentic Piedmontese cuisine with a touch of class and courtesy. The accommodations are also excellent, with breakfast featuring homemade products and authentic flavors.
