Pizza was nice but can’t say the same for pasta and calamari. Pasta was really ordinary one which you can have anywhere. Calamari’s portion was too small and prices are too high for those small portions. It is like a tourist trap like restaurant. Not recommended.

Pizza was really nice (I had 4 cheese/formaggi). Everything else was very mediocre and ridiculously expensive. €20 for a small plate of very regular not-so-tasty fried calamari felt almost like a rip off. You can visit for trying their pizza but that’s about it.

Before arriving in La Maddalena we asked some locals for thier tips on where to eat. We were told Roby's was #1. We love Pizza so it was the first restaurant we tried on arrival. We are a family of 4 (2 kids), and we all loved our Roby's. The Calzone, Diavola, Margareta were all fabulous. We felt we should try other places in our two weeks on La Maddalena, so we did go elsewhere and tried a different restaurant almost every day or two.
In total we came back to Roby's for dinner 4 times, particularly when we hadn't enjoyed somehwere else, the next day we needed Roby's.
According to our kids, the Lasagna and Chicken Milan (breaded/schnitzel style) was the best of their life. The Diavolo I ordered on 3 of my 4 visits was the best Diavolo of my life. I also had the carbonara which was nice, but not as good as Diavola.
We also dined there on our last night in La Maddalena and this is also the only time in 20 years that I have ever seen my husband request a photo with a restaurant owner. Grazie Roby and family!
