We came in for a late dinner. The service was great, we got lovely wine recomendations, the food arrived very quickly. Loved the pasta dishes, the tiramisu was delicious. The best service and meal we had in Rome.

We had a lovely lunch at Da Roberto e Loretta — a true Roman gem. We started with fried zucchini flowers, which were perfectly crisp and flavorful. The cacio e pepe was excellent — creamy, peppery, and beautifully balanced. The oxtail in tomato sauce was rich and tender, a real highlight. We also tried the baked fish with potatoes, which had a great flavor, though it was a bit on the salty side. Overall, a fantastic meal with warm, attentive service.

UPDATE:
When we returned after a long time, there was vignarola as a side dish but it wasn't possible to have it with pasta. There was pasta, there was vignarola, there was bacon and pecorino because there was carbonara on the menu, but combining these elements was not possible. Frankly, I didn't understand this.
EDIT: the vignarola was excellent, the best I've ever eaten (I believe you for €12)
Very nice place and friendly service (far from quick when the place is even just half full). The winter menu is better than the summer one: putting fettuccine with butter and parmesan on the menu is ridiculous enough, charging €13 for it makes it criminal despite the high-quality butter and 30-month parmesan, it's not enough. There is no simple dish of plain pasta worth more than €4/5. Pasta in bianco is asked when children throw tantrums, it cannot be on a scam-style menu of fettuccine Alfredo in Via della Scrofa or Piazza Augusto Imperatore. Having said that, the spaghetti with clams was good and the timbale of Sicilian rings was even better, the liquid cacio e pepe was less good and the cheese was a little shredded. The starters were much better overall, the bruschetta with stracciatella and Cantabrian anchovies was really good (2 anchovies for €9 bruschetta), the cod flan and the octopus with chickpea cream were excellent, the courgette and fish roll was less tasty. All in all a good experience with the fettuccine with butter and parmesan being really absurd, I want to go back in winter.
We're back and it must be said the winter menu is much better: the fettuccine with white ragù and herbs is excellent, as is the turkey main course stuffed with chestnuts and potatoes. The cacio e pepe with artichoke leaves was also really excellent but they were given separately (to prevent them from losing their crunchiness) in very small quantities. In itself, however, the dish was excellent.
Among the desserts, the tiramisu was excellent, but the montblanc was definitely too sweet. The donut with lemon cream was excellent but the cream (which was not specified to be lemon-based) was low in uobat, therefore in substance, but at least it had the advantage of not being too sweet. If there were half marks I would give it 3.5/5.

Questo impeccabile ristorante, scoperto grazie ad amici, e’ esattamente questo: rispetto per il cibo grazie ad un menù “serio” ma non troppo, cura e attenzione del Personale per il cliente, presente ma mai invadente e un arredamento ricercato che ti fa dimenticare cosa ci sia fuori da lì (quasi un ritorno al passato e alle buone maniere). Per non ultimo, una clientela che riflette il ristorante. Da riprovare. Complimenti.

Sempre una certezza. L’ambiente è accogliente, lo staff attento ed efficiente. Cucina romana molto buona, notevoli i tonnarelli cacio e pepe con petali di carciofo croccanti, le polpettine e i carciofi alla romana. Giusto rapporto qualità-prezzo.
