In the chaos of the "tourist" places of Borgo Pio - where the waiters grab you to make you sit with them -, here you will find an authentic Roman trattoria, very popular with priests, prelates and even Popes. The pasta alla norcina (with homemade cream and sausage: no cream!) and the gricia are excellent. As are the roast lamb and the sautéed vegetables. Get in line just before opening and you will have no problem finding a table. Honest prices and friendly service.

We found this osteria by chance walking through the streets near San Pedro. We were delighted by how traditional the place is, the excellent Roman cuisine, and the best part of the night was the service (something not so typical). I highly recommend it!

Excellent Roman cuisine in an informal and very typical environment. Kind and helpful service. Good quality/price ratio. Excellent location too, just a stone's throw from St. Peter's. Definitely recommended.

Easily accessible from St. Peter's Square due to its proximity. Excellent cuisine, especially thanks to the dishes of the legendary chef Domenico. Friendly waiters and clean bathroom 👍🏾

My son chose the restaurant and hit the nail on the head. Very calm shop with simple but good cuisine at good prices and pleasant portions. The house wine was just as good as the vegetables. In the middle of all the tourist hustle and bustle, a small oasis. My son and I felt very comfortable.

Un ristorante veramente eccellente. Sono di Livorno ed ero a Roma per un convegno ecclesiale. Già in passato ero stato e sono tornato, un giorno con amici ed il giorno seguente da solo.
Ottima la location, ottimo il menù con vari piatti della tradizione romana.
Soprattutto meraviglioso il clima per la professionalità ed accoglienza del personale. Veloci, sorridenti e pronti alla battuta.
Un luogo dove, oltre a mangiare, ti rilassi come se tu fossi a casa.

(Revisión vegetal) Para empezar pedimos de las guarniciones. La alcachofa estofada (uno) estaba bien. También pedimos las verduras salteadas mezcladas, pero conseguimos espinacas; contento con ella, ya que era sabroso, pero no lo que pedimos. Para nuestro plato principal tuvimos canelones (muy sugeridos por el camarero) y el risotto de setas. Todo era muy agradable - no es elegante, pero buena comida reconfortante. Postre, compartimos pastel de cereza agria - OK pero no brillante. Camarero muy atento. Precio con cuarto de litro de vino y servicio (opcional) 55 EUR/ 46 GBP.
